Shakespeare’s timeless tragedy delves into the corrosive effects of unchecked ambition. Tempted by a prophecy from three witches and encouraged by his wife, a great warrior murders his way to the throne only to discover power is fleeting without honor, love, and friends.

AS YOU LIKE IT - August 19, 2026 at 7:30 p.m.

Identities are lost and true selves are found in Shakespeare’s beloved comedy. When the Duke’s court proves cold and cruel, Rosalind, Celia, and their friends escape into the Forest of Arden – a place alive with joy, music, and unexpected possibilities.

KIDS & THE CLASSICS - 30 minutes before the show

Kids & the Classics is the companion piece to Hip to Hip’s program of “Free Shakespeare in the Parks.” This free interactive workshop is offered 30 minutes before every performance, and is designed for children ages 4 to 12. It gives children a chance to interact with the text by previewing the characters and situations, and creating links between the text and their own lives through theatre games and close reading of text.

Ahead of the tournament final, this is a great opportunity to meet up with fellow collectors, trade your duplicate stickers, and work toward completing your 2026 Panini Sticker Album.

Following the Swap at 3pm make sure to bring your family and friends to see the World Cup Final in The Patio.

We're pleased to announce that the Sunnyside Gardens Community Association is once again holding a Membership Open Call for 2026.

An Open Call isn't held every year, so we're glad to have the opportunity to welcome new members through this process. This year's Open Call is intended to extend access to nearby neighbors who are close enough to regularly use the Park and take part in its care and community life.

For that reason, eligibility is limited to households located within one mile of Sunnyside Gardens Park and outside the Park's designated membership zones. This one-mile boundary reflects a practical walking distance and helps ensure that Open Call members are able to meaningfully participate in volunteer hours and the ongoing stewardship of the Park.

A total of 50 memberships will be awarded through a randomized drawing.

The Drawing: Your number will be used in a random drawing for the 50 available memberships that will take place on July 13th, 2026 live on Zoom (details to follow - please check our website (https://www.sunnysidegardenspark.org/opencall) for updates).

We're excited to welcome new neighbors into our community, and we thank our current members for helping make Sunnyside Gardens Park such a special place.
