The public is welcome for golf, dining and shopping on the Lee/Charlotte County Line. The BSGAC is a semi-private club serving both counties, with a beautiful 27 hole executive golf course, Linkside Cafe Restaurant and a vibrant activity club for members' social, dining and recreational enjoyment including special interest activities and a library for members. 👨‍🍳 PLEASE JOIN US IN WELCOMING OUR INCOMING EXECUTIVE CHEF! 👨‍🍳

We’re so excited to introduce you to Chef Werner Dietrich, C.E.C., who will be joining Burnt Store Marina Golf & Country Club as our Executive Chef beginning October 5! 🎉

Chef Werner’s culinary journey began in his mother’s kitchen in Germany, where he discovered his love for cooking and, more importantly, the joy of bringing people together around the table. That passion has taken him across the globe and through an impressive career spanning decades of culinary excellence.

After completing a three-year culinary apprenticeship in Germany, Werner refined his skills in upscale Swiss restaurants before setting sail — literally! 🌎🚢 He traveled around the world three times as a Chef de Partie aboard the Royal Viking Sun, a renowned five-star luxury cruise ship. His culinary adventures also took him to kitchens in Auckland, New Zealand, and Toronto, Canada.

In 2000, Chef Werner brought his international experience to Southwest Florida, beginning as the chef of a premier German restaurant in Naples. His talent and dedication soon led him to the Ritz-Carlton Beach Resort, where he continued to elevate his craft.

In 2007, Werner became Executive Chef at Olde Hickory Golf & Country Club, where he proudly led the culinary team and enhanced the member dining experience for an incredible 15 years.

Most recently, Chef Werner served as Acting Executive Chef at Bernwood Catering in Bonita Springs, preparing exceptional cuisine for private events, weddings, family celebrations, and business dinners.

Now a Punta Gorda resident, Chef Werner is excited to begin this next chapter at Burnt Store Marina Golf & Country Club on October 5. ❤️

His vision goes beyond great food. He’s passionate about building a high-performing culinary team that works seamlessly with our front-of-house staff to create memorable experiences for our members.

We can’t wait to welcome 88 golfers back to Burnt Store Marina Country Club for our Labor Day Folds of Honor Golf Tournament! And what a way to reopen the clubhouse — our tournament participants will be the very first guests to enjoy our newly reopened kitchen! 🎉

We’re kicking things off with a Build-Your-Own Biscuit Sandwich Bar to get everyone fueled up for the day. 🥓🍳 Then it’s time to tee it up, have some fun, and enjoy our signature tournament cocktail, The 9 to 5! 🍹⛳

After the round, we’ll bring everyone back together for a complimentary lunch buffet — because a great day of golf deserves a great meal to finish it off!

We’re ready for a course full of golfers, full carts, a buzzing clubhouse, and a great day on the course — all while supporting a wonderful cause and honoring those who have served our country. 🇺🇸❤️🤍💙

From w**e tastings and kitchen knowledge to getting out on the golf course and brushing up on our golf knowledge, our team is learning more about the club, the game, and the products we proudly serve. 🍷⛳️
