It's time... Lil' Sway runs her first race on Monday August 24th at Presque Isle Downs. "Sway" was purchased as a yearling from Breeder Terri Finch Wells during the 4th of July weekend 2025 and has been developing really well since. First starters always bring so much hope and anticipation!

Peripoli (2) took a step back in class and ran in his 1st claim today at Belterra. Jockey dropped the whip, but Peripoli competed hard regardless. Proud of the horse, but just another reminder of how hard it is to win...glad they all came out healthy and happy.

11 Months ago we bought a yearling filly, and today was her first timed workout. The development process can be long (and expensive), but when the first timing is published there is a pretty surreal feeling... hope and excitement is abundant in this racing world...

I've decided to retire Beautiful Charade after 2 years racing at the Ohio tracks. After winning her maiden at 1 mile, she settled into a nice career at sprint distances, finishing with a record of 22: 4-4-4 and over $100k in career earnings. She is retiring perfectly sound. Charade is now in foal to Tacitus due in April 2027. She will layup at Shamrock Glen Farm in Kentucky before relocating to Ohio in July. Thank you to Taylor Made Farm for the State-Bred Initiative Program that allows me to take a low risk opportunity to test the waters on the breeding side of the industry.

Our Daughter's Morgan gave in to heart disease a few days ago. She's heartbroken over the loss of such a special horse.. Today, she climbed back up to help train my OTTB for a recreational 2nd career. Horses will break your heart one day and heal your heart the next. There is nothing like them...

Derby week is just the very best!

Let’s leave the bickering and aggravations behind for a few days and enjoy the big race and the lead-up to it. Let’s enjoy the predictions and the hoopla and all the rest of it. There will be plenty of time afterward to fight among ourselves over how to secure horseracing’s future.

I've owned Breeze (Windy OKC) for 20 Months... This week, after 20 Months of healing and rehabbing from multiple sesamoid fractures he found his herd. He's the low man on the totem pole, but he's healthy and he's happy!
