Here’s the story.

In 2021, I purchased G71 from my good friends at Rockin T Ranch. She was a big horn, easy to look at daughter of X64 Reign Lashes Testified, and I had always liked that bull. She was bred to 877F Wash*ta Wizard, a son of World Champion 561C Hocus Pocus and cost $1,500.

If you’ve been following for very long, you know that one way I cull cows is on their breed back in the fall. If they are open, they roll. Well, G71 had a red heifer that spring and didn’t breed back. Away she went.

That little red heifer calf would be G217 Phoenix, who tallied $45,454.88 in competition earnings in one season. She was special.

I think to myself, “Dang, I wish I wouldn’t have sold her mom.” But then it probably wouldn’t have played out the way that it did.

A $1,500 buy resulted in what could be a once in a very long time kind of animal. I’m thankful to have Phoenix in the cow pasture raising the next generation!

Here’s a pair that I’m excited about! The Canadian genetics have sure been good to me over the years.

High 13G is a female I purchased from Lorne & Kelly High from Canada. She is a daughter of C93 Rhythm & Blues (+219 Blue Stone) and out of a daughter of X232 I’m A Hustler. She’s the mother to 513G Trap Queen, a yearling heifer I entered some this year. She displayed all of the talents I look for in one.

The heifer on her side is sired by Page 836F (05C Lolly Pop). Shes got the blood, confirmation, and attitude to make a bucker.

I have a handful of these High bred females from Canada and they have been an asset to my breeding program!
