We hope you will enjoy learning more about us and the legacy of Albert E. Brumley, one of the greatest songwriters of our time. Songs like "I'll Fly Away", "Turn Your Radio On", "I'll Meet You In The Morning", "He Set Me Free" and a host of others have long been favorites of many people throughout America and around the world. The name Brumley is highly respected in all music fields. People have been singing his songs for decades. It was a desire of Robert (Bob) Brumley to keep alive the songs of his father. Even though Bob is no longer with us, the family still operates the company offices built in the 1940's in Powell, Missouri. We are now in the 3rd generation of the family business going on 100 years. Bob's 2 daughters Elaine and Betsy are excited to keep Brumley Music and their Grandpa Brumley's amazing legacy going on and thriving.

Albert E. Brumley came up with the idea for If We Never Meet Again after attending a singing convention in Memphis. As he was returning home he realized that group of people would likely never all be together again until they were in heaven. The song was written in 1945 and has been recorded many times. The most famous recording of the song is ELVIS PRESLEY. There’s comfort in this song. If you haven’t heard it, search YouTube or your favorite streaming service.

Since we heard about the passing of Dolly Parton yesterday we have struggled to come up with the words to say about how much she meant to us and the world. Dolly was an inspiration to all. Always sharing kind words, love and generosity to all. We knew that she loved the songs of Albert E. Brumley and I’m sure he loved her songs as well. Dolly we are honored that you chose one of our songs as the only song you wanted sung at your funeral. This means the world to us. Your passing leaves a void on earth that’s impossible to replace. Thank you for the memories, the love, your spirit and your songs. And since we’ll never meet again this side of heaven. We’ll look for you on that beautiful shore.

The country music icon died Tuesday at the age of 80.
