A Different Nature will present a two-hour special on the music of harpist and composer Zeena Parkins. Parkins loves to experiment with harps, electric harps, detuned harps, and weirdly distorted processed harps. She is a fervent collaborator and composer and works with the whole, as they say, “loisaida gang” in New York. You’ll hear them all. Enjoy forty years and more of Zeena’s music, and as is rarely said regarding the harp as an instrument, it’s going to be loud.

Pianist extraordinaire, and electronic sound sculptor nonpareil, we celebrate one hundred years of David Tudor. Music by John Cage, Pauline Oliveros, and Toshi Ichiyanagi, plus Tudor’s own electronic and sound-sculpture compositions.
