LET’S RIP! Our last GOOD DIRT! of the season is hitting Cascade Locks. This trail system has something for everyone – green, blue and black — all served up with scenic views of the Columbia River Gorge. If you haven’t yet explored this system, now’s the time!

As always, NWTA will be leading out three groups of riders: Co-ed Beginner, Women’s Intermediate and Co-ed intermediate. Grab your bike and get yer trail on!

SILCA HAS ENTERED THE TIRE CHAT! In typical SILCA style, they’ve rethought the design of modern performance tires from the ground up, with lighter, faster casings and treads optimized for speed and control.

“For years, the industry approached gravel tires by just slapping thick, heavy rubber onto traditional road tire carcasses. We approached the Protocol lineup by first looking at lower-pressure dynamics. By optimizing casing ply angles, tread profiles, and material science together, we’ve created a tire platform that is faster, lighter, and more supple without sacrificing durability.”

Inventory on these new-to-market tires is SCARCE, but we managed to get a run of the gravel variant for you to get your speed on. Currently we have:

RCG-4: Adventure and Mud. Likes the loose stuff.

ATTENTION CRIT FANS, KEVIN QFH* IS ABOUT TO DEPLOY!

Portland Criterium is THIS WEEKEND and our fav Cat 1 racer will be driving pedals hard on both days. You might know Kevin as one of our steadfast ride leaders on shop and destination rides (as well as our chief route-maker, devising some of our 10/10 routes).

HOWEVER, Kevin’s day job is covering our e-comm customer service. This is no light role; our online customer service is podium level everyday. This crew has to carry deep, deep knowledge about bikes, accessories and the nuances of product offerings to properly guide and troubleshoot for our customers. We don’t talk about this team enough — they are the best!

Come out and cheer Kevin at one of the most fun races to watch in town!
