The big kids are back in school. The house is a little quieter. And if you have a toddler at home wondering where all the action went, we have something for that!
Kidokinetics parent and me classes are designed for the littlest movers, ages one and up, with activities built around how toddlers actually learn: through play, exploration, and a whole lot of movement.
It's the kind of class they can't wait to tell their big brother or sister about when they get home!

Summer is not over yet!
Before the backpacks come out and the routines kick in, these kids are jumping, splashing, and moving in every direction possible. An active August is one of the best things you can do for a child heading into a new school year. This is what that looks like at Kidokinetics!
Muscular power is not just about what a kid can do on a field.
When children develop explosive movement skills, jumping, throwing, kicking, they are also building the neural pathways that support faster thinking and sharper focus.
An active August does more for school readiness than most people realize!
August has a way of filling up fast with the back to school supplies, shopping and mental prep.
Kido founder Terri has one more thing worth adding to the mix, and it might be the easiest one to check of your list!!
Strength training at an early age does not look like it does in a gym. It looks like a kid jumping as high as they can, big knee stepping and sprinting, all with a giant smile.
This month at Kidokinetics, we are focused on muscular power. And it turns out the best way to build it is also the most fun!

Muscular power is strength and speed working together, and it is one of the most important things a young body can develop.
At Kidokinetics, we build it through play: jumps, kicks, throws, and all the explosive little moments that look like fun and feel like flying. Want to try it at home? The sticker jump is a great place to start. Put a sticker just above your child's reach, have them start in a squat, and see how high they can go. It's simple, fun, and exactly the kind of movement their bodies are built for right now!
Parents do a lot to get kids ready for school and most of it works…but movement is the piece that tends to get skipped, and it might be the most important one.
An active August builds the focus, body awareness, and physical confidence that carries into every classroom. Kidokinetics is here for all of it!
There's no lesson plan for this one. Just bubbles, a field full of toddlers, and a lot of tiny hands reaching at the exact wrong moment, then finally the right one.
Years from now, these kids won't remember popping bubbles on a Tuesday morning. But the feeling underneath it, that moving your body is fun, worth chasing, worth laughing about, sticks around a lot longer than the memory does.

Days at Kido start with fresh sneakers and end with the kind of tired that only comes from moving nonstop. In between, there's a little of everything, new games, familiar favorites, the kid who refuses to sit out even for water breaks.
That's summer in full swing! Not one activity on repeat, but a rotation that keeps kids engaged from the wiggle to the last high-five. By the end of the day, they're worn out in the best way, the kind that means they played hard and loved every minute of it.
