Run with the I’mPossible Girl 💙✨

Today was nothing short of magical. We hosted Run with the I’mPossible Girl, and nearly 50 participants showed up — from tiny 1‑year‑olds to seniors who brought wisdom, warmth, and big smiles. It was a morning filled with laughter, movement, joy, and pure inclusion. The kids ran freely, parents cheered loudly, and some ran alongside their kids, creating some beautiful memories and the community felt beautifully connected.

And in those joyful miles, we did something meaningful together — we supported the children of Swapnanagar Bidyaniketon in Bangladesh. A vision can start with one person, but it takes a community to turn that vision into reality. Today, you all proved what belief, kindness, and unity can accomplish.

A heartfelt thanks to every participant and to the incredible volunteers who gave their time and energy to make this event possible. Your support didn’t just create a beautiful morning — it created hope.

Arya led the way, and all of you helped make a difference. 💙✨

This post might seem redundant to some of the followers as it was shared from the personal account. We wanted to re-share from this account for the wider audience and keep it a record in this account.

“For half of Arya’s life, we were hesitant to talk openly about her medical condition. When she was very young, her challenges weren’t as visible. But as she grew, we began facing the same difficult questions over and over — “She can’t talk yet?” “She can’t walk yet?” Those moments were hard, and for a long time, they pushed us into our shell.

But watching Arya grow has changed everything. Her journey has taught us more than we ever expected. She inspires us every single day, and we want the world to know her exactly as she is — strong, beautiful, determined, and full of possibility. We’re done hiding her story. We want to share it so others can see that limitations don’t define you; courage does. Her story has already touched people around the world, including a feature on Jamuna TV in Bangladesh. (For our non-Bengali friends, I am posting the transcript of the video in the comments.)

Last year, through the first edition of Run with the I’mPossible Girl and Make a Difference! , Arya helped support the children of Swapnanagar Bidyaniketon in Bangladesh. This year, she’s back for the second event — raising funds to help build a classroom for these incredible kids.

She’s making a difference, one mile at a time. And we’re honored to run beside her. 💙✨”

Hood To Coast Relay packet pick up day. First year of the Team I’mPossible participating in the mother of all relays. Arya ran with blank bib with hand written team name before and seeing the team name printed on her bib means a lot . Thanks to the organizers for the extra printed bibs and shirts as our team always have an extra member. We also like to hang out and gave out packets. Love the energy and feel like start running now. Good luck all the teams participating this year and wish the weather will be on our side.

We also got the car magnets so get ready to be tagged on the race day.

We are excited for the bib pick up tomorrow for the Hood To Coast Relay. Due to popular demand we are back to creating our silly video after a practice session on the track.

What a weekend at the Columbia River Triathlon Festival by Why Racing Events.

Last night we took on the Sunset 5K — Arya on her trike, me on foot — and somehow we both ended up on the podium in our age groups. We’re not the fastest out there, and maybe we got lucky with fewer speedsters showing up, but for Arya it meant everything. She was back out there riding again, and that alone felt like a victory.

Today we returned for the Sprint Duathlon (5K run, 12 mile bike, 5K run). This time, we made the tough but necessary decision not to put Arya on her trike as she continues rebuilding her strength. Still, we wanted her to be part of the day, part of the festival energy. So she joined us in the push chair for the run, and we kept her safely off the bike section as we figured out the best strategy to race responsibly. She absolutely loved it. A few weeks ago, we weren’t sure we’d be back at a start line this soon — feeling this blessed is an understatement.

We’re deeply grateful for the support from Karen and Ainsley’s Angels.

First Triathlete at home — Arya’s younger sister, Inaaya. She took part in the kids triathlon at the Columbia River Triathlon Festival by Why Racing Events and it was such a beautiful sight. Watching all those kids out on the course felt surreal. Who knows — maybe one of them will grow up to win a world triathlon championship someday. Every child raced today at no cost, a meaningful gift to the community from Why Racing.

Feeling truly blessed to be back at a race, SHOC 10K by Hood To Coast Relay that felt impossible just two weeks ago. Arya completed the full 10K on her trike — a huge leap from the 3‑mile ride she managed after our bike accident. The race‑day energy from this incredible running community carried her all the way to the finish line.

And because it’s August, it also means it’s Hood To Coast Relay month — and we’re grateful to be back in time for it. This is Team I’mPossible’s first year (with our own identity) taking on the mother of all relays. Four teammates joined us today and crushed the SHOC 10K, and the whole family showed up — mom and the little one completed the 5K.

Feeling blessed beyond words for everyone who checked in on Arya, encouraged us, and cheered her along the course. Your support carried us just as much as the miles did. We love this running community which inspires us to keep coming back.

Raising a child with special needs is real‑life problem solving — constant obstacles, constant adjustments, and always moving forward. This was supposed to be our peak training block with Hood To Coast Relay only a month away, but instead we’re playing catch‑up and getting ready for the mother of all relays in our own way.

Arya is slowly getting her strength back. She put down three solid miles on the track today — slower than her usual, but full of heart. As a backup plan, we picked up a push chair from our Ainsley’s Angels friends in case she can’t cover the distance we’re hoping for. Dad even did a training run pushing the empty chair, just to be ready.

We’ll find a way. We always do.

Next races:
08/01/2026 — SHOC 10K by Hood To Coast Relay

Hope to see you all at the start line.
