There’s a reason why it’s so hard for you to actually relax.
And it doesn’t show up overnight—it’s something your nervous system learned over time.
Sometimes those patterns appear early.
You learn there’s always one more thing to do.
Staying busy becomes the expectation—and for some, a necessary way to keep the body moving when slowing down feels unsafe.
Slowing down starts feeling uncomfortable, even when there’s nothing demanding your attention.
Before long, your nervous system begins treating those experiences like instructions:
💭 “Keep going.”
💭 “Stay alert.”
💭 “Don’t let your guard down yet.”
That’s why rest doesn’t always feel restorative.
Just because you give your body permission to stop moving, that doesn’t mean your nervous system isn’t still on high alert.
At Prism, we don’t ask people to force themselves to relax.
Instead, we use body mapping and intentional movement to help the nervous system explore a different response—one that doesn’t always assume it has to stay on guard.
As those experiences build over time, many people start noticing something they haven’t felt in a long time:
Rest finally starts feeling restful.

Welcome to a completely new way to understand your body, your symptoms, and your current circumstances...
For real change when nothing else has worked. ❤️🩹
➡️ At Prism, we use body mapping + movement to help your nervous system build adaptability, so your body can stop defaulting to old patterns and start responding to the moment you’re actually in.
Because your nervous system isn’t supposed to stay calm, neutral, or perfectly regulated all the time!
It’s supposed to respond to the current moment.
So if your body feels stuck in...
Fight-or-flight
Chronic stress
Anxiety
Bracing
Burnout
Old pain patterns
Movement issues
Chronic illness
The deeper work may not be more regulation, PT, or talk therapy...
It may be nervous system adaptability.

Struggling with chronic pain, stress, fatigue, anxiety, illness, or the feeling that you’re stuck in the same patterns?
⠀
Your nervous system may be part of the story you’re overlooking.
⠀
❌ That doesn’t mean your nervous system is “causing everything.”
⠀
✅ It means your nervous system shapes how your body responds to life.
⠀
So when you’re dealing with chronic pain, chronic stress, illness, burnout, or symptoms that don’t seem to make sense...
⠀
It may be because your nervous system learned a pattern of protection.
⠀
And what once helped you survive may now be keeping you from feeling at home in your body again.
⠀
➡️ At Prism, we help you understand the pattern beneath the symptom, then use body mapping + movement to give your nervous system new information, so your body can start finding new options.
