Labor Day weekend is almost here. 🎉

Pools, lakes, and backyard gatherings — it's one of the best weekends of summer. But drowning doesn't discriminate. It doesn't care how old you are, how well you swim, or how many people are around. It can happen to anyone, anywhere there's water.

The good news? Layers of protection dramatically lower the risk. No single layer is enough on its own — but stacked together, they save lives.
🛟 Assign a water watcher — a sober adult, phone-free, with eyes only on the water the entire time.
🚪 Secure access points — fences, gates, and door alarms keep curious kids from wandering into water unsupervised.

💙 Wondering why you’re seeing openings posted, but we’re not currently accepting new babies?

We know this can be a little confusing, so we wanted to explain!

Our baby program runs in set 6-week sessions with a specific start and end date. Our current baby session began August 24 and runs through October 6, so once those baby spots were filled, they were reserved for the entire session. We do not offer rolling admission for babies once a session has started.

The openings you may see us posting right now are for children ages 2 and up. These swimmers can sometimes complete their skills before the full 6 weeks, which means a spot may unexpectedly open up and allow us to accept another child mid-session.

So while you may see an available lesson time posted, it doesn’t necessarily mean we have an opening in our baby program.

✨ The good news: Our next baby session begins in October! If you have a little one you’d like to get started, we’d love to have you join us for the next session. 💙

Thank you for understanding how we structure our sessions so each child gets the consistency and dedicated lesson time they need.

On a side note, if you do have a child ages 2 and up we have immediate openings for some time slots.

But what if they can’t reach the wall?

Many once-a-week swim programs focus on teaching children to swim toward the wall, grab the edge, or find the steps. Those are valuable skills—but we believe a child also needs a plan for the moment when the wall isn’t within reach.

What if they miss the wall?
What if they can’t find the steps?
What if they become tired before they get there?

That’s why we teach the float.

At Tiny Bubbles, children learn how to independently roll onto their back, float, breathe, rest, and then continue swimming when they’re able.

The wall is a destination. The float is a survival skill they can use wherever they are in the water.

We don’t just prepare children to reach the side. We prepare them for what to do when they can’t. 💙🐢
