Meet Claire Graham, one of our POYFA Members at Large! 🧡🖤

Claire may not have one super-specific lane — and that’s kind of the point. 😂 As a Member at Large, she’s there to support the organization wherever help is needed, while bringing a parent’s perspective and a genuine love for the Hawks community.

For Claire, it’s bigger than football. It’s about community, family, character, and giving our kids a place to grow, compete, build friendships, and be part of something bigger than themselves.

Our 12U and 14U games vs. DeLand that were rained out on Saturday have officially been rescheduled for MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 14 — and they will be played at a NEW LOCATION. 🧡🖤🏈

New Smyrna Beach Sports Complex

⏰ NEW GAME TIMES:
12U — 6:00 PM
14U — 8:00 PM

Please make sure you’re heading to New Smyrna Beach Sports Complex, NOT DeLand, and double-check those updated start times before you leave! 📣

What a great day for our Hawks! 🧡🖤🦅

A huge thank you to all of our athletes and families who came out to our bucket drop at Publix today to help raise funds for Port Orange Youth Football & Cheer. We are so proud of our Hawks for showing up, representing our organization, and working together for their teams!

Thank you to everyone in the Port Orange community who stopped by, donated, purchased a Big Ticket Savings Card, or simply showed support for our athletes. Every bit of support means so much to our kids and our organization.

And a special thank you to Publix at Westport Square for allowing us to be there today. We truly appreciate your support of our Hawks family!

For Matt, that title pretty much means help wherever help is needed. From coaching football and game-day setup to audio, announcing games, and jumping in behind the scenes, he’s always willing to lend a hand.

GAME #5 — WE’RE BACK ON THE ROAD! 🧡🖤🏈🦅
This Saturday, the Hawks are heading to DeLand to take on the DeLand Bulldogs! Come out, bring the noise, and help us fill that visitor side with orange, black & white! 🔥

📍 Sperling Sports Complex
1500 Matt Fair Blvd, DeLand, FL 32724
⏰ Tentative Game Times:
7U – 8:30 AM
10U – 10:00 AM
11U – 12:00 PM
12U – 2:00 PM
14U – 4:00 PM

A few game day notes:
🪑 There are bleachers on the guest side, but seating is limited, so we highly recommend bringing chairs.
🧊 Coolers are welcome!
🍔 The concession stand will be open throughout the day.

And as always, Hawks family — represent us well. Cheer loud, keep it positive, respect the athletes, coaches, officials and opposing fans, let the coaches coach, and please clean up after yourselves before heading home. Let’s leave their facility better than we found it. 🧡🖤

Meet Sarah Yapp, aka… ME 😅🧡🖤

Apparently it’s finally my turn for a POYFA Board Spotlight, so here we go!

As Social Media Director, I get to share all the fun, chaos, milestones, game-day moments, fundraisers, reminders, and behind-the-scenes work that make POYFA what it is. I also serve on the Fundraising and Yearbook Committees, because clearly I don’t know how to just do one thing. 😂

I love getting to celebrate our athletes, coaches, families, and volunteers — and making sure the people who put so much into this program get a little spotlight too.

No Hawks football this weekend! 🥲🏈

We’ll miss seeing everyone on the sidelines, but a long holiday weekend isn’t the worst thing either. 😂

Enjoy the extra time with family, rest up, recharge, and have a safe and happy Labor Day Weekend!

Nate helps keep game days running smoothly behind the scenes — from equipment and field setup to making sure everything is where it needs to be so our athletes can take the field ready to go. It’s a big job that takes time, dedication, and a whole lot of teamwork, and we’re thankful for all he does for POYFA!
