At its heart, the Dirty Scoundrel isn’t really about the hunt.
It’s about people.
Todd has a deep passion for our community and the riders who show up; which sparked the idea of hosting a scavenger hunt here. People from near and far, the local businesses who open their doors, the friends who become riding buddies, the stories shared around a table, and the community that makes an adventure like this possible. That’s the drive behind the Dirty Scoundrel.

So, what can we expect during the event?
It’s about the adventure. Riders follow a scenic route, stopping at designated checkpoints to collect tickets. At the end of the ride, we will be raffling off prizes, creating a unique experience filled with exploration, friendly competition, and plenty of fun along the way.

Where did the name Dirty Scoundrel come from?
Event founder Todd’s dad lovingly called him a “scoundrel” growing up and, occasionally, a “dirty scoundrel” out of love. Combine that nickname with Todd’s love of dual-sport riding and the Dirty Scoundrel was born.

There’s another special piece to the story, too. Todd has many of his dad’s old pieces of artwork, and one in particular spoke to Todd as the perfect logo and brand for this event. You will have seen it, or will see it, throughout our social pages and website. It’s a small piece of Todd’s dad that has become part of the Dirty Scoundrel story.

Now, that idea is becoming something bigger, a weekend where riders can explore the Olympic Peninsula, support local businesses, meet new people, share a few stories, and simply enjoy being together.

A HUGE THANK YOU to 4PA for sponsoring this year’s Dirty Scoundrel ADV Poker Run! 🙌

We love partnering with organizations that are making a real difference right here in Port Angeles.

4PA’s mission is simple: a clean and safe community for all. Their team works to restore public spaces and environmentally sensitive areas while also helping people living outside connect with stable shelter. They’re also developing the Touchstone Campus, an innovative operations center that includes temporary transitional shelters.

That kind of community work deserves a big shoutout! 👏

We’re proud to have 4PA along for the ride and grateful for their support in making this year’s Dirty Scoundrel possible.
