It was a bad day yesterday for our racing family and for the family of Randy Henson 🏁 I have known Randy since the mid 80s at Tri- State . He was always a good friend to everyone . In all my years I can't recall anyone having a bad thing to say about him . God Speed my friend 🏁 And God bless his family 🏁 O

Well last night was the last point race of the season at Tri- State Speedway . We will take next weekend off to get the 03 Home Grown Supplies USRA Factory Stock ready for the Spooker . We finished the year off in 6th place in the points and we are not satisfied with that . All year we have fought with a engine issue that has kicked our butts . We have had a lot of good people trying to help with it to no avail . Needless to say out of all the years I have raced I am most disgusted with this engine out of all the ones I have had . I think back now and think where we could have been in the points if only I could have finished more races . Live and learn . Anyway last night got a little rough and I would like to thank Jeff Metcalf and all his crew for the help with the spare carb.and help changing the flat I had in the big wreck on the start of the feature . (Side note ) YOU CANT WIN THE RACE IN THE FIRST LAP . Anyway a big thank you to Stephen Stamps and Darrell for trying to fix a hopeless cause of an engine . ( Side note #2 ) I'm really sick of this engine . I want to thank everyone that has been there and helped us to do what I have been blessed to do for so many years . Shawn White for all your help and advice .My wife Helen Brown Hettinger and my brother from another Mother Olan Speedy Brewer . Speedy has busted his butt to make sure the car was ready each week but just didn't have much to work with . ( SEE SIDE NOTE #2 ) And to the very best sponcer a guy could ask for Mr Ken Morgan at Home Grown Supplies . He is the Man that made this year possible . He is the Man that allowed me to pass out TShirts and Hats at intermission to the race fans . I feel like I let him down with the way our season played out . ( Did I mention I really hate this Demon of an engine ) Anyway thank you all and we will see you at the Spooker . ( HOPEFULLY WITH A NEW ENGINE ) 🏁 O

Well , Where do I start ? Last night we finally finished the A feature for the first time this year . Speedy and I have lived in the shop last week . We still have a engine problem with the exhaust getting red hot . Fausten Willhite I need some info and help . The car was faster than it has been all year and I was able to run with the leaders . Had a top 4 untill I messed up on the last lap but still a good time . The old guy had fun again and fist bumping the kids and fans is a blast . 🏁 O

Well if all goes well tomorrow putting the new engine in the O3 Home Grown Supply racing Chevy USRA Factory Stock we will race tomorrow night at Tri-state speed way .
