NEW CHALLENGE INCOMING: 91 Days to Fit🔥
It's time for me to get back on the consistency train, so for the next three months, I'm locking back in🏃♂️💨
Here are my rules/goals:
1. Run every morning as early as I can for that day
2. Double sessions every week day, 1x on weekends. Close to 2 hours of training per day (still giving myself grace/flexibility with my hip recovery). Can include running, cross training, and speed walking
3. My goal is to get my TrainingPeaks fitness level from 75 today to 100 by the end of this challenge
4. Be intentional about recovery. This includes active recovery, naps, and diet
*enjoy a couple pics from Broken Bow this past weekend :)

I MISSED A PR BY 3 SECONDS
13.1 | 1:16:15 at The Woodlands Half Marathon
I totally can't complain though. I had been working through some hip and pelvis issues which are getting way better, so putting up this kind of effort felt amazing🏃♂️💨
The plan was to average 6min/mi and have a nice run, but I was just feeling too fast (swipe for splits)🔥
Current plan is to race the Indy Full in Nov, so time for a big summer and maybe a 2:29 fall🤷♂️

Every year I do a stupid physical challenge to ring in the new year, and 5 years ago I started running because I heard about Denton's Dummest Marathon, aka 131 laps around the Denton Courthouse🥵
I didnt get to do it that year because of covid, so I had a wonderful full circle moment today finally getting to check that box off!!!🥳🎉
I came in planning to do 20 miles and kept it all at a nice steady zone 2. My hip flexors didnt enjoy it, but at least I know what to work on going forward🔥
Big thanks to for running miles with me and making them a breeze💪
This is gonna be one heck of a year, I can feel it🏃♂️💨

WHAT A YEAR FOR RUNNING🏃♂️💨
Things started out rough. Skipping my spring race because of a knee injury definitely put a hard damper on things. But, I got back as quick as I could, put my head down, and grinded hard over the summer🥵
10k in October: 36:08 --> 34:26
13.1 in November: 1:23 --> 1:16
5k in November: 17:30 --> 16:02
This year I only ran 2,860ish miles compared to last year's 3,398, but I cross trained a lot and did even more training time!!🔥
GOALS FOR 2026 (planned races so far)
10k in Jan: 34:26 --> 32:59
13.1 in Feb: 1:16 --> sub 1:12
5k in Mar: 16:02 --> 15:40
26.2 in Nov: 3:14 --> 2:26
How did your 2025 go?? Can't wait to see everyone crush next year!!!!🥳
