KJ provides a safe nurturing environment where dance is the vessel by which a child can gain self esteem and valuable skills including teamwork and leadership.
Our program teaches honesty, integrity, loyalty and dedication through the art of dance. KJ Dance Designs, owned and directed by Kristy Ulmer Blakeslee, has been in Plano, Texas since 1993. KJ expanded to a second location in 2015, in Frisco. KJ has proudly trained dancers and served DFW families for 25 years. In June of 2017, KJ Dance was honored to receive the @nycda NATIONAL OUTSTANDING STUDIO

Welcome to another exciting dance season at KJ Dance! We are so excited to watch your dancer learn, grow, and shine in our Ballroom program this year. Ballroom is a fun and dynamic style that helps dancers develop confidence, musicality, coordination, and performance quality while learning the art of partner dancing.
Our Ballroom classes are energetic, technique-based classes designed to develop coordination, rhythm, posture, footwork, musicality, and partnering skills. Dancers will explore a variety of ballroom styles while learning both individual technique and how to connect and move with a partner. Through age-appropriate progressions, combinations, and choreography, dancers will build confidence, versatility, and strong performance skills while experiencing this exciting style of dance.
