One mindset shift can completely change how you compete:
➡️ Instead of worrying about scores, placements, or mistakes...
➡️ Be grateful for the opportunity to perform, grow, and do what you love.
Expectations often create pressure.
Gratitude creates presence.

𝗙𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗟𝗬 𝗥𝗘𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗥 - Your worth is NOT determined by a score or placement.
Be proud of yourself for showing up.
𝘍𝘰𝘳 𝘥𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴.
For trying again after mistakes.
𝘍𝘰𝘳 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘶𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘨𝘳𝘰𝘸.
Those are the things that create long-term success. 💯
The results are only one small part of your story. Personal growth takes you further in the long run!
If you failed...
Congratulations!
Not because failing is fun, but because it means you had the courage to put yourself out there.
Most people never take the risk. They stay where it's comfortable because they're afraid of getting it wrong....
Growth requires vulnerability.
Progress requires mistakes.
Failing isn't proof that you're incapable.
It's proof that you're willing to do what it actually takes to achieve success.
So much of our stress comes from worrying about things that were never ours to control.
The judges. The score. Other people's opinions. The outcome.
What is in your control??
Your effort. Your attitude. Your preparation. Your response.
The more energy you spend on things outside your control, the less energy you have for the things 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘮𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘥.
Worrying won't change the outcome, but it will steal your energy, attention, and peace.
That's not worth it!
Your best performance comes from investing your energy where it matters most. 🔥
Sometimes we spend so much time chasing the next milestone that we forget we already made it to one we once dreamed about. ❤️
There's nothing wrong with wanting more.
Just don't let your ambition rob you of your appreciation.
Be proud of where you are, grateful for the opportunities in front of you, and excited for where you're headed..
3 Ways to Work 𝗪𝗜𝗧𝗛 Fear (instead of fighting it):
#1. When fear shows up, your heart rate increases, your muscles tighten, and your breathing becomes more shallow. One of the fastest ways to regain control is through intentional breathing. I like inhaling for 3 seconds and exhaling for 6 seconds for several breaths. The longer exhale helps calm your nervous system and shifts you back to a parasympathetic state, making it easier to focus on the task at hand.
#2. Fear increases when we focus on everything that could go wrong or the entire challenge ahead of us. Instead, shift your attention to what you can control right now. Instead of thinking, "What if I fall?" focus on "Strong hurdle," "Engage core," or whatever technical cue helps you execute the skill. Breaking the challenge into smaller steps and focusing on the process makes fear feel more manageable.
#3. Fear becomes stronger when something feels unfamiliar. Visualization can help bridge that gap. Before attempting a skill, spend a few moments mentally rehearsing it. Picture yourself approaching the skill confidently, executing the technique correctly, and finishing successfully. Visualization helps your brain create the neural pathways needed to execute the skill in real life!
Many athletes tell themselves, "I'll do it when I feel more confident" or "I'll go when I'm not scared anymore." The problem is that confidence usually comes 𝘢𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘳 action, not before it. If you wait for fear to disappear completely, you may end up waiting forever! When you learn how to work with fear, instead of fighting it, it becomes something you can move through rather than something that holds you back.

FRIENDLY REMINDER:
Most people aren't judging you nearly as much as your mind tells you they are.
They're thinking about their own performance.
Their own mistakes.
Their own insecurities.
Don't let 𝘪𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘥 opinions distract you from your goals.
Your job isn't to control what others think anyways!
Your job is to show up, be confident, and give your best effort.
Control the controllables. Let go of the rest. ✨
Your biggest breakthrough probably won't come from waiting—it will come from taking action.
The best athletes know that success is built through action, reflection, and continuous learning. They try new approaches. They experiment. They ask questions. They make adjustments. They keep showing up.
Every time you step outside your comfort zone, you're collecting valuable information that helps you improve.
So stop waiting for the perfect time.
Take the shot.
Try the skill.
Ask the question.
Learn something new.
Because the athletes who keep growing are the ones who never stop exploring what's possible. ✨

Your mindset is the lens through which you experience everything.
The same challenge can look like proof that you're not good enough ❌... or proof that you're growing. ✅
The same mistake can become a reason to quit ❌... or valuable feedback for what's next. ✅
You don't always get to choose what happens to you, but you do get to choose how you interpret it. And that choice changes everything.
Like any skill, this takes practice. The more intentionally you train your mindset, the more naturally you'll see opportunities instead of obstacles. ❤️
There are two places you can be:
✨ Living the results of your growth.
✨ Living through the experience that's helping you grow.
Neither is a place to rush through.
The way you interpret your experiences has a huge impact on your mindset, your confidence, and your future! Be grateful for the success. Be grateful for the struggle. Both are shaping the person you're becoming.
Not everything has to 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭 positive for you to find something positive in it. 😉
