👏 A round of applause to Plano East Basketball Head Coach Matt Wester for being selected as the 2023-24 MaxPreps Boys Basketball National Coach of the Year! 🏀

In his sixth season as head coach, Wester led the Panthers to a 40-0 record and the first state title in program history. The team finished the season ranked #8 in the MaxPreps Top 25 ranking.

Plano East boys stay undefeated, eying first 40-win undefeated state title by Texas school in 20 years The last time a Texas boys basketball team went undefeated and won a state championship in the highest division was the 2006-07 Duncanville Panthers (39-0).
