🌟 **MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: KAYTLIN STOBAUGH** 🌟
Meet **Kaytlin Stobaugh**, a familiar face who has been part of the UAA community for **11 years!**
Kaytlin is from Mooresville and is a wife to Aaron and mama to Hunter, Payton and Maddie — plus Cooper, their 8-year-old doodle who is, according to Kaytlin, *the best dog EVER.* She recently became a surgical technologist and works at a Level 1 trauma center downtown. When she’s not working, mom-ing or at UAA, you might catch her playing a friendly game of pickleball.
Kaytlin’s UAA story actually started with her family. Her mom, Deb, joined first, then her dad, and Kaytlin followed after having her daughter Payton. Eleven years later, she’s still here.
And the reason is pretty simple: **the people.**
“I always say I attend classes to hang out with my friends…and maybe work out.” 😬
Over the years, Kaytlin has built some serious strength and is especially proud of her heavy lifts, including her overhead squat, power clean and push jerk. But one of the things she’s most proud of is simply continuing to show up.
After injuring her shoulder this spring, she kept coming to class, modifying movements and doing what she could while it healed. She says even when life outside the gym feels mentally tough, getting to UAA and being around her people makes her feel better.
Her favorite movement? **Power cleans or hang cleans — hands down.** 🏋️♀️
Her ideal workout is a **25-minute chipper** or, even better, a **partner WOD with some built-in rest.** 😂
Next on the goal list: **a bar muscle-up**, just so she can say she can do one. Long-term, though, her goal is even simpler — stay fit and strong enough to keep up with her kids.
And when it comes to staying motivated, Kaytlin gives a lot of credit to her husband, Aaron, who helps her find a way to make gym time work.
After 11 years, Kaytlin is a pretty great example of what consistency at UAA can look like — showing up for the heavy lifts, the injuries, the hard days, the friendships and everything in between. 💙
