Medved Running and Walking Outfitters is Rochester’s premiere store for running, walking and outdoor fitness enthusiasts since 1984. We are family owned and believe strongly in supporting our community through supporting races and other local events. Whether you are just trying running for the first time or race every weekend, we want you to feel welcomed. Whether you are interested in footwear, clothing, foot inserts or socks, we want to ensure that you are fit in the right size. Need some guidance in choosing your workout footwear, apparel or accessories, we can help. Want to look around and be left alone? Over the years, our merchandise assortment has grown beyond our running roots. Besides a large selection of running footwear, apparel and accessories, we carry sandals, hiking boots, casual shoes, cross training and tennis shoes. We also carry a large assortment of outdoor lifestyle apparel. If you like being active in the outdoors, or if you just want to be fit properly for a pair of shoes, we hope that you will let us help you.

On Wednesdays, we play in the dirt! 🌲💪

Join us TONIGHT at Old Foley Rd Trailhead on Mosley Rd in Fairport — 6pm. Be there or be square, as the kids say 😉 (and yes, we're still very cool).

Reminder: we've got a group for everyone! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

🐐 Mountain Goats — The speed demons of the trail. Minimal stops, maximum cruising, pure trail energy.

🦌 White-Tailed Deer — Graceful, steady, moderate pace. Comfortable on any terrain. This group stops at every major intersection to make sure the whole herd stays together.

🐿️ Squirrels — Walk a little, run a little, stop and smell the flowers (literally). High energy, low pressure, and full stops at every intersection.

No matter your pace, there's a spot for you on the trail tonight! 🌿

🍂 Fall is almost here — but the mornings and evenings are already getting that crisp feel! 🥶

The rest of September is packed with fun trail runs and races! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

This week's Wednesday night run/walk: we're hitting the Crescent Trail at Old Foley Rd Trailhead (Mosley Rd, Fairport).

We have groups for different running levels, including an interval group. No need to be able to run the whole time, they run a bit and they walk a bit.

Also coming up: the Inaugural Harvest Fest Trail Races on Saturday, September 26th! 🎉🐄

Choose from a 1-mile or 5-mile option, then stick around for the Harvest Festival — petting zoo, cow milking, fun activities, food, and pie! 🥧🍂
