Dylan Quay while out with Aaron’s Guide Service stuck two dandy gators on the 8” Gold Shiner/White rigged on the 5/8 oz Screwball! He said he was headed out on a pike quest to get it done shortly after getting his baits- and he did exactly what he said. Two beautiful US pike…they don’t make them a whole lot bigger on this side! 🤠🌻

Jake F***e got it done…and he’s gonna be a little sore this week! 😂

Jake texted me a couple days ago, fired up that he made it happen on the 8” Pearl Crappie rigged on the 5/8oz Screwball. In the heat of the moment, he got a little payback/souvenir from his new toothy pal.

Hopefully the first of many Tramp fish for Jake, and the last woopsy! 😂🤠🌻

Well, I’m glad to say that finally…the 6ers are back. 🎉🥳

6” Stinger Rigs will now include a swivel again- slightly heavier than before. I held a vote and you guys and gals overwhelmingly voted for the swivel. You can always pop it off if they aren’t your jam. All other size rigging (8, 10, 12) will still come WITHOUT a swivel as I feel it makes the rigging messy and serves little purpose given the rigging is super flexible and rotates just fine.

Going through photos and just thinking about the days I’ve personally had on them in my boat—and even testing them alllllll the way back to the very first baits I ever made in the bait lab—it’s insane how many fish these things have caught and how many cool stories they’re already responsible for.

First-ever muskies, PB fish, record-number fish days, species I never expected they’d be used for…the list goes on.

It might sound like I’m bragging, and maybe, yeah, I sort of am here. I’m beyond confident in them. I’m crazy proud of them. And I’m crazy proud of and thankful for all of you guys who had faith, saw the vision, and helped get them to where they are now.

Time to get these things slamming again and remind people what they can do!

The 6 is an awesome option for you guys rocking lighter setups, or maybe just heavy bass setups. They’ll fish on the “actual” musky setups too—I’ve gotten them dialed in to where they’re not as finicky with beefy leaders and beefy components. But I tested these things and still sometimes fish them on just a little bass frogging rod, and we’ve even fished them on a heavy spinning rod.

It fills a slot that not a lot of other baits fill, and both the bait and rigging are built✌️musky tough✌️ to handle whatever you put them up against.

Not pictured here is Dennis Perko, who was vital in bringing these back, as well as Brad Kutmas, who helped get this shape prototyped and brought to life when it was nothing more than a foggy idea in my brain. A huge thank you to those guys. It’s worth checking out what they do too, because they’re incredibly gifted at what they do and were absolutely monumental in making this happen.

I told you guys a few posts back that I got a phone call about something cool happening one night last week. That call was longtime Tramper and bud, Aaron Parise, again.

This time, he was all fired up because he’d just caught and released this fish right at the boat, and on camera, with Sam of SG Angling as part of a pretty unbelievable day. I’m sure you’ll hear all about it… it’s pretty wild. Follow him and check it out when it drops for a little Tramp cameo!

Aaron’s fish was on the Gold Shiner/White 8” (050). 🤠🌻

Been a while since we’ve seen Jayson Giese, but he’s back with one of the bigger Tramp smallies to date! On the old Wurm colored ned. I took that color down a while back because it wasn’t as popular, but told Jayson I think maybe it’s time I put it back! 🤠🌻

Next up the catch-catchup is none other than Aaron Parise! This was a special fish because 1) Aaron goes wayyyy back before the baits even began and 2) I know Aaron has been trying for quite a long time to get this done.

He’s gotten some giant walleye and other bycatch, and came pike fishing with me using the 6’s, but just hadn’t made the musky happen yet. He’s even netted a Tramp musky for me in my boat a while back.

But if you’ve watched some of the videos I’ve linked in the last couple months, he has has already collected his share of haunting memories on the Tramps, too. Lots of BIG misses and losses, has seen a few fish show up at the boat that have haunted him…and just hasn’t connected. But I knew he would. And he did! With a GREAT local river fish too. Bone 8” on the 5/8oz Screwball fished in a current seam. Another well-deserved one! 🤠🌻

Keeping the catch catch-ups moving along, ne # # up is Phillip Papa from Fishburgh Outdoors. Phil’s been stacking up quite a few catches and some really cool video and stills using the baits, including a real dandy of a Pittsburgh musky in the first photo, as well as a two-fish morning on the Tramps.

I know the Pearl Crappie has been one of Phil’s lucky patterns…but now that the crowd is growing a little (a lottle), I’m starting to lose track of everyone’s favorites and go-to’s. Ask Phil and I’m sure he’ll run ya down on his local setup!

Train’s still not stopping here. We still have some fish to go including something pretty awesome I got a phone call about yesterday evening which will be coming out on the YouGrams and InstaTubes any day now. Chat soon! 🤠🌻

Ne # # # # # up we have the return of Mark Modoski- getting it done on a black 10. A step up from his first Tramp fish earlier this year! 🤠🌻

Keeping the catch catch-up rolling, we’ve got the return of Nate from Harmar Bait with one on the 8” HBT Special. I’ll paint more of those soon because it really was a neat color. Followed by another familiar Tramp name… Luke Brockleman with a quick bag of musky on the way home from a Walmart run! 🤣

And before you eagle eyes get alarmed, Luke said he had a can of orange spray paint explode in his truck, so the “blood” all over the net is actually a permanent orange paint job. 😅👨‍🎨

For you new musky guys, net shots are a great way to be a little easier on the fish in warm water. I know if you’re new to it that it’s hard to even fathom the idea of not holding a fish up for a picture…especially one you’ve worked that hard for. But believe me…sometimes it’s in both of your best interests. You’ll probably get a bigger one someday (seriously), and you’ll be releasing a lot happier and healthier fish.

And plus, I love seeing the actual baits in the net shots, too! 🤓🤠🌻

Next part of the catchup is Cole Klaus with one on the MOP! Cole has used (and caught with) the early Tramps too…all the way back to some of the first versions I was making. I asked him if he thought the new ones were an improvement and I was pretty happy with his feedback!
