“Let’s see how far we’ve come.” ❤️🥎
It feels like just yesterday we gathered in Piscataway for our very first practice.
Arden, Alexa, Bella, and Kylie returned from last year’s team. Aria, Katie, MacKenzie, McKayla, Raegan, Reese, Sabrina, and Sophia joined after tryouts. Twelve girls from different places, coming together with one goal—to become a team.
From day one, the returning players set the tone. They welcomed every new teammate with open arms and created a culture built on hard work, positivity, and putting the team first. There was no drama, no egos—just girls who wanted to compete and get better together.
The fall wasn’t always easy. We finished 14-13 and experienced our share of highs and lows. There were tough losses, lessons to learn, and moments that tested us. But no one pointed fingers. No one quit. The girls showed up every week, trusted the process, and kept believing in one another.
Six hours of practice every week. Weekend hitting sessions. Winter workouts. Strength and conditioning. Endless reps. The fundamentals improved, confidence grew, and little by little, this group transformed into something special.
By the spring and summer, they weren’t just a talented team—they were a family.
Against many of the same opponents, they finished the season 31-17, captured two tournament championships, and earned a third-place finish at Nationals. But the trophies aren’t what we’ll remember most.
We’ll remember the dugout dances. The car pools. The laughs between games. The hugs after tough losses. The celebrations after big wins. The friendships that grew stronger with every tournament.
Softball teams don’t last forever. They change every season. But the memories, the lessons, the confidence these girls gained, and the friendships they built will stay with them for a lifetime.
We couldn’t be prouder of this group.
