Happy first day of school! 💙💛

September brings a lot of changes to the KMJL Baseball Board that we'd like to share with you.

We invite you to the next board meeting on Sept. 14 when the board will vote to approve Amy Ascher as the club's Secretary/ Treasurer and Sarah Neder as the Fundraising Coordinator. Thank you, Amy and Sarah, for applying for these positions this summer and using your talents to improve our club.

On Sept. 14, we'll also share the board's application process for remaining open board positions, including President and Vice President. In the mean time, we extend our thanks to Adam Dralle and Andy Herger (Tryout Co-Coordinators) for stepping into the interim roles to keep our club running smoothly.

And finally, if you missed the August meeting, a big welcome to Joe Marquardt for joining the board as the High School Liaison, connecting with Head Coach Matt O'Sullivan to further advance KMJL Baseball!

PLAYERS WANTED: We're looking for middle school players who are part of the KMJL Baseball Club to share the love of baseball with elementary kids at Wales and Cushing Elementary.

Earlier this month, our U12 Gold team was in Tennessee for the Cal Ripken Experience. There were 37 other teams from around the country, including Ohio, Florida, Maryland, Georgia, and Illinois. They received a warm welcome from former MLB player Tony Kemp.

Congrats to Henry Johnson, Landon Foch, Jaxson Grzybowski, Asher Johnson, and Jackson Hanson for receiving Player of the Game honors.

It was a great week of baseball and camaraderie for the players and their families!

Did you know the KMJL Baseball Club sends the U12 teams on a travel trip each year? The U11 players fundraise throughout the year to support these trips, so show them some love the next time they're hustling you at games and tournaments.

Our U12 Navy team had their Cal Ripken Experience this week in Pigeon Forge, TN. Out of 48 U12 teams, our boys ended up #16 which put them in the Gold Division Bracket play yesterday. They played the #1 undefeated team (the 3rd ranked team in all of Florida) and won! They ended up losing the next game so fell short only one game to play in the finals today. HUGE win for KM and our program! Parents were even named the Best Fans!

We are proud to share that several members of the Kettle Moraine Junior Lasers Baseball Club were selected to play in the WSYBL All Star games yesterday. Due to the amount of players at the two participating age groups, there was only a 13% chance of being chosen. The 2026 KMJL All Stars are:
