You don’t need a sophisticated protocol to reconnect to your body.
Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is go outside, sit in the stillness, and let nature remind your body what it already knows.
Your body was built for this. It just needs the right conditions to remember.

Not all armor looks like walls. Some of it looks like your best qualities.
Perfectionism. People pleasing. Overachieving. Humor. Always being the helper. Fawning. Intellectualizing everything.
These are all intelligent strategies to make sure nobody gets too close, nobody sees the tender place underneath.
They work. They keep you safe. None of them make you broken.
The only question worth asking is whether they’re still serving you, or whether they’re keeping out things you actually want in now.
If something keeps showing up in your healing work and won’t let you go further... that’s not the enemy. That’s the armor. And the armor was built for a reason.
The limbic system cannot tell time. It doesn’t know the threat is over. So coming at it with force only makes it hold the line harder.
The healing move is curiosity. Gratitude. Slowing down enough to say, I see you, I know why you’re here, thank you for all the years you kept watch.
The armor was always protecting something worth protecting, and it will show you what that is when it finally feels safe enough.
Here’s what I want to stop calling normal:
Being busy as a badge of honor.
Measuring your worth by your output.
Grief as a private matter you handle quickly and get back to work.
Nuclear families asked to do what entire villages used to do.
An economy that has never once considered the health of the top six inches of soil everything alive depends on.
We stopped calling any of that a problem. We just call it normal. And then we wonder why we’re exhausted and dis-eased.
You are not broken. You are mismatched. You are a healthy seed trying to grow in depleted soil.
And if we keep calling a dis-eased soil normal, then disease will continue to be our normal.
For some people, celebrating the Fourth feels a little like celebrating Mother’s or Father’s Day when you had an abusive parent. You want to honor what’s real. And something else is also real.
A country is like a nervous system. And a nervous system that has never metabolized its wounds passes them forward.
We are not broken people trying to be healthy. We are healthy seeds trying to grow in compromised soil. That’s not a personal failure. That’s what collective trauma does to an environment over time.
The soil can be tended. It starts with naming what’s actually in it.
The medicine isn’t the moment you take it.
It’s the whole arc. It’s you, the work, the environment, the people around you, the small moments you choose to return back to yourself. Preparation. The journey itself, held in warmth instead of a clinical room. Integration, where the real meaning gets made.
I created an integration workbook for those preparing for and integrating altered state journeys, and I’d be honored to walk alongside you through one of these threshold moments.
Here’s the science behind how ketamine actually works.
It isn’t a magic pill… it’s a precision tool that helps the brain move from a state of rigid inflammation to one of flexibility.
But remember: ketamine is just the key. You are the medicine.
If you come from a faith background and the word psychedelic makes you nervous... this one is for you.
The demonic concern, the Holy Spirit question, the idea that it’s a shortcut around God. I want to address all of it directly.
Look at the fruit. That’s always been the test.
In 1962 scientists synthesized ketamine in a lab. In 2020 they discovered a soil fungus had been making the exact same molecule for millions of years.
We thought we invented it. We did, but we didn’t.
And IMO, that changes something about how we hold it.
Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy or KAP has gained a ton of traction over the years and I wanted to take some time to make a short series so you could have a place to have a little bit more professional psychoeducation about it.
Not all ketamine experiences are the same.
The route of administration changes everything... especially the window before and after the experience where the most important therapeutic work can happen.
IV, IM, troche... here’s what actually differs and why it matters if you’re considering therapy-integrated ketamine.
