The weekend did not go as we hoped, but we will patch the hot-rod up and get after it August 29th in Show Low.

Saturday morning update.

What you don’t see is the 1AZ Copper State Express tucked away in the trailer.

Last night on lap 20 the steering broke as I entered turn 3. Bounced off the wall but couldn’t keep the car from sliding down the track in front of Connor and Elijah. Took a big hit and the car needs some work we can’t complete at the track, so we are a scratch for tonight.

I’ll still like to encourage you to come out to Deuce of Clubs Thunder Raceway for some great Avanti Windows & Doors USAC Southwest Sprint Car Series racing. The racers put on a show last night, just sorry I couldn’t be a part of the finish.

Next race, back up in the pines in Show Low Saturday, August 29th.

Led early, stayed on the bottom 1 too many laps and fell back to 4th.

Entered turn 3 just like I had every other lap when something broke in the front end and the car headed straight to the fence. Tried to hold it up there but collected 2 other cars… including the leader Elijah Gile. Sucks for all involved, we’ll look to regroup for tomorrow.
