There's a unique aspect to the All-American teams. In our regular team sets and all-time sets, we defer to the stats and so the player with the most carries has the most carries in the game, and so on, for realism.
But with the All-American teams, we're actually beholden to the consensus team selections, not necessarily each player's volume.
What does that mean?
Well, the unanimous/consensus backs and receivers have the bulk of the carries/receptions. The other All-Americans, say 2nd teamers or selected by fewer selectors, get fewer touches.
We yield to the selectors. So while each player's stat outcomes are used, they do not dictate their volume on number of plays.
