They went a perfect 4-0 and ended the season with an 18-4 overall record (regular season 14-4).

Kudos also to notable teams Bubble Guppies - Ethan & Co for a spectacular 15-3 record and the #1 seed and getting to the final.

Kudos to teams The Boondocks for not only getting one of the Silver playoff bids from last week into Gold, but for also going deep into the Gold bracket and finishing 5th/6th out of 14 teams overall for the tourney!

Kudos to the #7 seed Samurai Jack for getting all the way to the semi-final and being on of the Top 3 teams of the night.

Kudos to team Dragonball Z for on of their best seasons in their history - also 14-4 and the #3 seed!

Emerging out of the Silver playoffs as the #11 seed, got a bid into the Gold bracket, slipped once, forced a double final game and won 15-11 to win the Thursday FUN Kahuna tournament crown.

They were 8-1 for the night.

Mucho amor to all 42 beloved players joining Desi's Birthday Charity Tourney this Saturday at Funk Beach!!!
We are excited for the night, starting at 6:00 pm.

With every player bringing a case of water, we will be STOCKED for many weeks for the homeless hydration mission Desi and I help with on the weekends so often, in Tempe.

Desi is cooking with love for everyone attending, you re in for a treat with some homemade tasty grub.

The format is the trademark Funk Beach "All Are Welcome Chili Pot 'O Fun", with a blend of full teams, some pairs, some lone players.

You do not need to know anyone - you will get to know many.

Special shout out to Marcos Marcos Gonz and Daniel Daniel Broyles for brining 18 CASES LAST NIGHT TO FUNK BEACH LEAGUES - WOW!!!!

Small - THANK YOU FOR BRINGING SUNSHINE SMILES TO FUNK BEACH! From Kourtney - Last night was my last beach volleyball Fun Kahuna rec tournament before my big move. I still have a few league games but tourney nights have always been my favorite nights! It’s so fun hanging out with all the teams and competing against each other but in a fun & supportive way. Of course, the DRINKing together is always the best as well 🤣👌🏽
Thank you to my teammates and everyone at Funkalicious Beach Ball for the memories, friendships, and so many fun nights on the sand. I’ll miss this community more than you know. Until next time… 🏐🩷
