The hardest part about losing weight isn’t the workouts… it’s believing it’s actually working when the scale doesn’t move.
You spend the week hitting your workouts, eating better, drinking your water… then you step on the scale and it’s the same number.
Or worse… it’s up.
That’s usually when people start thinking it’s not working, even though their body may be changing in ways the scale can’t show.
The scale is only one piece of the puzzle.
Weigh in every day.
Not because the number should drop every day, but because it keeps you accountable. Daily weigh-ins help you stay consistent with your habits. We ignore the day-to-day fluctuations and focus on the trend over 2-3 weeks. If the trend is moving down, you’re on the right track.
Take measurements.
The scale may stay the same, but losing 2-3 inches around your waist tells a completely different story. Those numbers don’t lie.
Try on the same clothes.
When your jeans fit better or that shirt starts feeling looser, that’s progress. Sometimes your clothes notice the changes before the scale does.
Take a progress photo every week.
Same day. Same time. We see ourselves every day, making it hard to notice the small changes. Looking back at photos from a month ago often shows just how much progress you’ve made.
Too many people quit because they’re only measuring success one way.
The more ways you track your progress, the more wins you’ll see. Those wins build confidence, keep you motivated, and remind you that your hard work is paying off—even when the scale doesn’t show it.
How do you measure your progress besides the scale? Let us know below!
