βš½β˜€οΈβ›ˆοΈ Play Smart. Stay Safe.

As temperatures rise and summer storms roll in, keeping our youth athletes safe means being prepared for both heat and weather conditions.

Just like a Hydration Break and Lightning Break in the World Cup, taking the right precautions helps players stay healthy, safe, and ready to perform.

Hydration Reminders:
πŸ’§ Drink water 1–2 hours before activity and in the days leading up to an event
πŸ’§ Drink again 30 minutes before play
πŸ’§ Keep water on hand during games and practices
πŸ’§ Bring shade
πŸ’§ Watch for signs of heat illness

Weather Safety Reminders:
β›ˆοΈ Stop play immediately if thunder is heard or lightning is seen
β›ˆοΈ Seek safe shelter in a building or hard-topped vehicle
β›ˆοΈ Avoid tents, trees, and open fields
β›ˆοΈ Resume play only after 30 minutes from the last thunder or lightning

Let’s help keep our athletes safe, healthy, hydrated, and weather aware this season.
