What inspired the name "Wicked Ohana"?

Wicked Ohana represents two of the biggest influences in my life. "Wicked" reflects the fierce, competitive mindset I bring every time I step on the field, while "Ohana" is a reminder that family is everything. In softball, family isn't just who you're related to—it's your teammates, coaches, and everyone who's supported your journey.

What did you want this bat to represent?

I wanted a bat that stood for more than performance. I wanted it to represent passion, loyalty, and the relationships this game creates. Every time someone picks up the Wicked Ohana bat, I hope they're reminded to play hard, support their teammates, and enjoy every moment on the field.

Who is this bat designed for?

The Wicked Ohana Signature Bat is built for players who want confidence in every swing. Whether you're a power hitter or a gap-to-gap hitter, the bat delivers outstanding feel, responsiveness, and performance. What inspired the creation of your signature bat?

In 2009, I was diagnosed with Lupus. At the time, I knew very little about the disease or autoimmune conditions in general. Since then, I've wanted to use my platform to help bring awareness to what so many people live with every day and encourage anyone struggling with unexplained symptoms to keep searching for answers and get checked by the right specialists.

How did the design come together?

I shared my vision with Jon Barthell, and he absolutely nailed it—even including Tank in the design. The only adjustment I made was reducing the size of the DT34 logo and my signature so the Autoimmune Disease Awareness message could stand out even more. I couldn't be happier with the final result.

Who is this bat designed for?

This bat is perfect for players who enjoy the softer feel of a two-piece bat while still preferring a stiffer handle. One of the best features is that Proton offers custom loading options, so you can choose a balanced swing, a 0.5 oz end load, or a 1 oz end load to match your game.

How did your journey with ONYX begin?
It all started in 2018 when I swung the original ONYX IMUA at SSUSA Winter Worlds. After asking Carlos Vega for an end-loaded version, he had one ready for me at the Tournament of Champions—where I won the 50 & Under Home Run Derby. From that moment on, I was all in with ONYX.

What makes your signature bat special?
Being ONYX's first signature player has been an incredible honor. Today, I help design every aspect of my bats—from the barrel and weighting to the artwork. My newest release, the BOUGIE, is built for maximum performance and confidence at the plate.

Who is the BOUGIE made for?
Originally designed for base hitters looking for more exit velocity and consistency, it's also become a favorite among power hitters thanks to its soft barrel and explosive trampoline effect.

What's your favorite memory with your signature bat?
Watching teammates pick it up and immediately say, "This one is different." I'll also never forget going 17-for-17 in my first tournament with my signature bat. The confidence it gave me was priceless.

What message do you have for the softball community?
