Our weekly individual award winners:
🐴 Award recipient is Owen Hutzler. Owen has worked hard to improve his overall physical state to be able to contribute to the team, and has reached out to coaches to discuss and ask for specific coaching in areas to improve upon as a player. He has also been observed cleaning up areas that aren’t his responsibility, and holding others accountable to do the same.

🥞Pancake Champ- Leon Brown led the team with 4 pancakes last week

🐺 Beast Mode- Parker Herrod a moving piece, literally, for the defense. Aligning in different positions through the game and was required to play with a high level of aggression due to facing double teams from the opposing offensive line throughout the night.

🔨Golden Hammer- Mason Jones led all tacklers with 12 tackles multiple tackles for loss from his linebacker position.

Philippi’s Homecoming Parade is happening tomorrow, Wednesday, September 16th! 🎉

Come out and cheer on our students, alumni, families, and community as we celebrate another great Homecoming in Philippi!

Following the parade, the traditional PB Homecoming Bonfire will begin at 7 PM and is open to all PB students! Food, drinks, music, and a whole lot of fun will be provided!

Let’s pack the streets and show our PB pride! 💙

Our individual award winners from week #3:

🐺 Beast Mode: Tristan Price accumulated 10 tackles, 3TFLs, and 2 INTs on defense to go along with his 86 receiving yards and touchdown on offense!

🌟🔨Golden Hammer: Mason Jones led the team in tackles with 16 total tackles with 3TFLs, and was disruptive in the opposing team’s run game most of the night Friday!

🥞 Pancake Champ: Freshman Maddux Weese moved to Guard last Friday and did well to finish blocks in his new position after playing center week 1-2!

🐴 : Eli Tyler moved from offensive tackle to center for last weeks game. The week started with the question from the coaching staff of “Can you snap?”. Eli put in the reps, exceeded our C**t Standard of Coachability, and worked through the nuances of developing a skill that he had not used to give a solid performance during last Friday’s game!
