I was in my studio today shooting some content. Being in my studio long lengths of time is difficult for me. I only see what needs to be better and what's missing and the cost of getting it. Being in my studio often invites me to spiral about my business. I can easily feel overwhelmed and frustrated.
Today was no different, but I had work to do. I had to meet a deadline.
As I was looking at the pictures I shot, I began critiquing the composition, then the lighting, then my face and then I stopped. I zoomed into my face and I saw baby Shanti.
I saw baby Shanti born in Hawaiian hills. I saw the babygirl who was willful and wild. I saw the child who walked at 7 months and swam at 10 months.
I saw the Shanti that my brother described as "fearless". That flash of my baby face made me smile.
Of course, she brought me here. She was a determined, strong little Being.
I think she would be surprised by the ways I often retreat due to fear. I want to embodied more of her now. She was/is a force.
