Come by Bartram's Garden and ride! 🚲 🪖
Since reopening in 2021, the bike hub has offered free bike rentals and learn to ride classes for adults and children every Saturday between April and October, rooted in the intention to increase access to bikes and trail usage in Southwest Philadelphia.
We're open this Saturday from 10am - 2pm. We'd love to see you there! https://bicyclecoalition.org/40-neighbors-serviced-at-the-free-bike-tune-up-at-bartrams-garden-bike-hub/

Distracted driving is deadly. We're proud to stand with Families for Safe Streets member Eileen Miller, who after the death of her son Paul to a distracted driver, spent 15 years advocating to change deadly driving behavior here in Pennsylvania. Her tireless work helped pass Paul Miller's Law, PA's hands-free driving law — and as of this June, it's in full effect, with $50 fines for drivers caught holding a phone behind the wheel.
Eileen's advocacy is proof that grief can become a force for change. Put the phone down. Keep your hands on the wheel. https://www.timesleader.com/news/1744449/effective-june-5-drivers-convicted-under-paul-millers-law-will-pay-a-fine

📷 This summer, teenagers and young adults in Philadelphia are invited to enter the Philly in a Photo Contest: Trails Edition! 🌳
🚲 The City is currently developing a new Trail Master Plan to guide the future of trail planning in Philadelphia. To help develop this new plan, city planners are listening to Philadelphians about how they use and experience Philly’s trails, including young people. One way they are doing this is through the Philly in a Photo Contest: Trails Edition.
Photos should respond to one of five prompts:
- What’s your favorite activity on Philly’s trails?
- What’s your go-to trail in Philly?
- What’s your favorite place that trails can take you?
- What’s the biggest surprise on Philly’s trails?
- How do you use Philly’s trails with friends?

What an incredible evening filled with love, energy, and support. Thank you to everyone who rode with us to honor and celebrate June Rodriguez. He'll always be in our hearts. ❤️

June's death was preventable and he should've arrived home from work safely. Until our decision makers prioritize the safety of all Philadelphians who travel on our streets we will continue to have to mourn our friends, family, and neighbors. 😣

Join advocates and elected leaders outside the 5th St/Independence Hall 'L' Stop to call for transit funding in the PA budget. This stop was recently renovated with modern facilities and new elevators that allow riders with disabilities, strollers, shopping carts, and bikes to access transit. With additional funding and new revenue SEPTA, and transit agencies across the commonwealth can bring improvements like this to bus, train, and trolley stops across PA.
In a moment where public transit is empowering Philly to host a World Cup, America's 250th anniversary and big events throughout 2026, we need to invest in a system that moves us to work, school, and across our region.
