Coach John McArdle connected with people because he cared. The relationships were real, the standards were high, and the lessons went far beyond the game.

Coach McArdle left us a few years ago. His lessons didn’t. They keep moving through the people he coached : and the kids they send to us.

His basketball lessons still live on: in the players he coached, the coaches he influenced, and the next generation learning to compete, think, lead, and make their teammates better.

That’s what basketball can do. It connects us, shapes us, and keeps teaching us long after the final whistle.

Sammie Thomas '29 showed up. All summer. 🏀

Rising sophomore. Three-sport athlete.

Sammie put in the work: 6 AM workouts, shooting camps, Villanova camps, clinics, and Oreland Summer League games. No matter who was on the floor, she competed.

Sammie was the recipient of the 6th Man Award for hard work at Nazareth Academy.

Soccer in the fall. Basketball in the winter. Softball in the spring. Sammie is proof that athletes can compete in multiple sports and let each one make the others better.

Her goal is simple: compete with the best players in the league.

So she works. Every day.
