OPEN CALL for kids in DISNEY’S FROZEN: THE BROADWAY MUSICAL

Walnut Street Theatre has opportunities for local non-union kids to participate in our Theatre School Performance Program and be in our holiday production of DISNEY’S FROZEN: THE BROADWAY MUSICAL. Glenn Casale is the director and Robbie Roby is the choreographer. Rehearsals are scheduled to begin October 27, 2026 with performances running November 17, 2026 - January 3, 2027.

The Performance Program Scholarship includes a weekly stipend, parking, and seminars, in addition to working and learning with a professional company of artists and staff. All kids will be double cast, with each team of kids performing 4 to 5 shows per week in front of an audience of 900+ each performance. Rehearsals are Tuesday-Sunday.

SEEKING:
• YOUNG ANNA - 10-11yo Girl. Young princess of Arendelle with youthful exuberance; fun-loving troublemaker; mesmerized by her sister's magic. Can be silly/funny. Strong clear voice. Moves well.
• YOUNG ELSA - 11-12yo Girl. Elder princess of Arendelle with magical powers; obedient daughter; protective sister. Strong voice. Moves well.
• ENSEMBLE GIRLS - 8-12yo Girls. Strong singing and dancing girls in Arendelle and as Hidden Folk. Will understudy Young Anna/Elsa from within the cast.
• ENSEMBLE BOY - 10-14yo Boy. Strong singing and dancing boy in Arendelle and as a Hidden Folk boy.

For consideration, simply submit a photo and resume on our form, or you can also record a self-tape audition of singing and dancing. Audition materials and instructions can be found at the link below. This open call will close on September 1, 2026 and all auditions must be submitted before then. In person callbacks will be held at a later date after Labor Day by invitation only.

🪇Mommy and Me classes;
Tuesdays at 9:15 for 6-12 month olds
Wednesdays at 9:15 for 12-24 month olds

🪇Baby Play and Dance classes;
Thursdays at 9:15 for 2-3 year olds

📞Call the studio and leave your name and number, and we will get you into the appropriate class for your child.

All classes require a parent or guardian to participate. And what a fun, bonding experience it makes!!

📣You’ve waited…. And it’s time for our new class announcement!!!

🎶MOMMY AND ME classes will launch at the Pennsport school of Dance THIS SUMMER!!! And we are SUPER EXCITED to bring this ONE OF A KIND class to our studio!

🎶Mommy’s (or caregiver) and babies are in class together, taking part in a fun/interactive class filled with movement, music, sensory stimulation, focused learning, physical activity, fun and most of all, bonding!!

🪇6-12 month olds will meet on Tuesday mornings at 9:00 am. Class is 45 minutes long and jammed packed with musical and physical activity for both baby and caregiver.

🥁12-24 month olds will meet on Wednesday at 9:00 am. This class is structured slightly different for our older littles. Class is 45 minutes and packed with activities and equipment to keep them busy and learning!

📣Both classes will fill up quickly!
