The Food Network is looking for runners to appear on its new show, Dan the Donut Man, when it comes to town on Wednesday, May 27th!
The show follows Dan Cole – self-proclaimed “Donut Daddy” and Chief Donut Development Engineer at Dunkin’ – as he travels across America in search of culinary inspiration for his innovative, outrageous and sometimes unhinged donuts. After soaking up each city he visits, Dan heads back to his Donut Lab, where he translates those experiences and flavors into two wild donut concepts. Armed with his creations, he returns to the city for taste tests with locals, who determine which donut best represents their hometown.
What is more Philly than Rocky right? So, the show is looking for runners interested in volunteering to run with Dan down the Ben Franklin Parkway to the Art Museum.

Yesterday, you ran as part of the 2026 Independence Blue Cross Broad Street Run. 47 years ago, at the inaugural Broad Street Run, things were a little bit different. Check out this look back at the country's biggest 10-mile race from the Philadelphia Inquirer.
The first Broad Street Run had ci******es at the start and a bandit runner. It’s come a long way. Philly has races nearly every weekend but no race better defines the city than Broad Street. The first run in 1980 was marketed for “the everyman.” Years later, it's still the same.

One of the best things about the running community is how much everyone supports each other. Whether it's cheering each other on during races or physically helping someone across the finish line, we are never running alone.
