🚨 WE’RE HIRING! 🚨

Emerge Fitness is growing, and we’re looking for an incredible coach to join our team.

This isn’t just a job counting reps. We’re looking for someone who genuinely loves helping women become stronger, more confident, and excited to walk through our doors each day.

Our members aren’t looking for bootcamp instructors or drill sergeants. They’re women who want to feel seen, supported, challenged, and capable—and we’re looking for a coach who can create exactly that. 💪🏼

✨ You’re a great fit if you:
• Love building relationships just as much as coaching movement
• Believe strength training should feel empowering, not intimidating
• Meet people where they’re at while helping them achieve more than they thought possible
• Bring positive energy, professionalism, and hospitality into every session
•Have at least 1 year of experience and an active personal training certification

📍 Manayunk, Philadelphia
🕓 M-Th. 4:30-7:30pm
💰 Competitive pay + room to grow

If this sounds like you—or someone you know—we’d love to connect.

Yep… no burpees. Guaranteed. 💯

At Emerge Fitness, we intentionally program exercises that are functional—not just movements designed to leave you exhausted and gasping for air.

If you want to focus on proper form and progressive overload, which simply means following a program and adding weight or volume week by week, then we might be the right fit for you! No random workouts of the day and random exercises, everything is thought out and designed to improve overall strength, muscle, and endurance.

Huge shoutout and spotlight to our Whitney!

How it started ➡️➡️ how it’s going!

Whitney started in the fall of 2024, by winter 2025 she got her first full chin-up (and a half) and by 2026 she worked up to her first goal of 10 chin-ups and a 40LB weighted chinup before turning 40 (iconic!)

Whitney is an inspiration not just because of her strength but her perseverance and consistency to hit these goals. It doesn’t happen over night, it happens over the course of years and consistently showing up and this is the perfect proof of that!

It’s easy to get stuck comparing ourselves to others while forgetting to remind ourselves that everyone starts somewhere, and it takes workkkk!

Wherever you are in your fitness journey, keep going! Take it day by day and keep showing up. 💪🏼 If you’re feeling stuck or unsure where to start, shoot us a DM to help you get started!

Emily here! 👋 Owner of Emerge Fitness, and I’m just about out of the first trimester of my second pregnancy. I wanted to share a few survival tips for navigating fitness during those first 14-ish weeks.

The hardest part of the first trimester—for me—is simply managing the symptoms. I was extremely sick with my first pregnancy, and while this one has been a little better, I’ve still spent more free time napping than working out (being fully transparent 😅)… and that’s okay.

Prioritize rest. Manage your symptoms. Train when you feel good enough to train.

Some weeks that might look like 2–3 workouts. Other weeks it might be 0–1. This is just a season, and your fitness will be waiting for you when you feel like yourself again.

One thing that helped me tremendously was accountability.

Right before getting pregnant, I started weekly physical therapy sessions to address some recurring aches and pains. Having those appointments on my calendar made it so much easier to show up because self-motivation is HARD when you’re nauseous and exhausted. (Shoutout to .pt)

Whether it’s a trainer, a workout buddy, or simply scheduling workouts ahead of time, having someone expecting you can make all the difference.

There aren’t any mandatory exercise changes during the first trimester for most healthy pregnancies, but that doesn’t mean every movement will feel good.

A few modifications I’ve personally made:

• Swapped flat bench exercises for an incline because lying flat made my nausea much worse.

• Skipped barbell hip thrusts because the pressure across my abdomen just wasn’t comfortable. Instead, I opted for banded or single-leg hip thrusts.

• Avoided anything with a meaningful risk of falling. If I didn’t feel 100% stable, I’d hold onto something or choose a different exercise.

Pregnancy isn’t the time to prove anything. There’s almost always another exercise that accomplishes the same goal with less risk.

Lastly…

✨ Keep snacks with you. (Watermelon Sour Patch Kids and carby snack bars were my MVPs. 😂)

✨ Stay hydrated. (Flavored water was WAY easier for me than plain water.)

✨ &&& Give yourself grace. ❤️

From Kelly 🥰
“I decided I wanted to start weight training. I had no idea where to start and if I’d be able to find someone inclusive and kind to me and my body. I found Emerge Fitness and
, who have made me love moving my body for the first time in my life. 100 workouts later I can deadlift 225 lbs, bench press 113, and get joy and relief every time I go to the gym. And most importantly, I always want to go back for more.”

To anyone who has feared taking that first step into a new gym, we’re here for you!!! ❤️❤️❤️
