there’s a new way to help them pursue their dreams. You know that look when a kid has found the thing that makes them shine? The New York Life Golden Futures Awards were created to help nurture those
moments.

Here’s how:

something they love. like sports or science.
STEP 2 Tell us about their future goals and dreams.
STEP 3 Share your child’s story with the world.
Kids ages 5-16 can apply for $1,000 awards.

Our friends at The Players Alliance (TPA), the Anderson Monarchs, and the Black Women in Sport Foundation are hosting a free Community Catch™ baseball and softball clinic for children ages 5-14 this Saturday, July 11, from 7-8:45 PM at Marian Anderson Recreation Center in South Philly. TPA is led by retired Major League Baseball players Curtis Granderson, CC Sabathia, and Edwin Jackson. The organization’s mission is to address baseball’s systemic barriers to equity & inclusion by creating pathways to opportunities on and off the field for an undeniable pipeline of black talent.

As of this morning, approximately 25 spots remain in the clinic.

Registration Details:
💲 $80 per player
👥 Open to all travel age groups (8U, 10U, 12U, 14U) Age eligibility is based on the May 1 birthday cutoff.
💻 Navigate to the Registration tab atop the CalvaryAA.org homepage

📋 Important Information:
⚾ Minimum of 12 players and maximum of 14 players per team.
⚾ Registration is first come, first served.
⚾ Practices are tentatively scheduled to begin the week of August 3.
⚾ League play typically begins the week after Labor Day.

If your child is also playing football or soccer this fall, we ask that you do not register for fall baseball. Balancing multiple fall sports often creates conflicts with practices and games, making it difficult for players, families, and teams. We want every team to have committed players who can fully participate throughout the season.

Don't wait ... register today! We ask that if your child(ren) intend to participate in one of our Fall Programs to please register now so we can make sure we have the proper equipment. July 24th will be here before you know it!!

Come out and work on your softball game this summer at the Phillies Urban Youth Academy! We will be hosting 4 weeks of softball workouts at our Urban Youth Academy in FDR Park. We will work on all areas of the game during the 4 weeks.

There will be no cost to attend this program.

Girls 13-18 will run on Thursdays from 10am-12pm starting July 23rd and going through August 13th.

Girls 9-12 will on Tuesdays from 6:30-8pm on Tuesday, July 28th and going through August 18th.

We ask if you sign up that you, please plan on attending multiple weeks of this camp. Spots are limited and want to make sure people who are committed to coming sign up.
