GENERAL MEMBERS MEETING UPDATE:

General member meetings will be the 3rd Tuesday of every month going forward. For July, it will take place July 21st.

Congrats to the Somerton Dept of Rec All Stars that competed together earlier today. Thank you Philadelphia Parks & Recreation Baseball for a great day!

Congrats to the 5️⃣PEAT Department of Rec Champs! The 12u Majors Somerton Spartans went into extra innings to win 3-2 vs Fox Rok after a monster walkoff by Andre 💚🤍

Congratulations to the 8u team Somerton Spartans for winning the RBI Baseball Championship!!! Future is looking bright for these little tykes!

Here at the Somerton Youth Organization, we have been DILIGENTLY working to make our facility better over the past years. From a new gym floor, updated lighting, new outdoor fencing, new roof, to flooring in the clubhouse and atrium (to name just a FEW).

With the help of Senator Joe Picozzi, we are now able to do SO MUCH MORE! Be sure to share a thank you to his office in helping secure such generous funds for our future. We cannot wait to help make SYO the best place to raise our athletes!

Very happy to announce that I have secured $180,000 in funding through the Department of Community and Economic Development for the Somerton Youth Organization!

This investment will support important facility improvements and equipment upgrades, including HVAC improvements, snack bar enhancements, gym padding, and field equipment.

SYO has been supporting our kids for generations. Since 1955, the organization has helped children build confidence, sportsmanship, leadership skills, and lifelong friendships through athletics while providing a safe and positive environment where young athletes can learn and succeed.
