We stopped by to meet Matthew Amato, Fleet Captain of Farragut Sportsmen's Association—the birthplace of the Delaware River Yachtsmen's League (D.R.Y.L.), founded in 1914 by Frederick Von Nieda. Today, the D.R.Y.L. brings together dozens of yacht clubs and boating organizations dedicated to promoting true yachtsmanship, safer waterways, and camaraderie throughout the Delaware River region.

We invite all D.R.Y.L. member clubs to continue that tradition by joining us for the Philadelphia Cup Regatta on October 3, 2026, at Penn's Landing!
