Walnut Lane Golf Club was originally founded in 1939 as a Alexander Findlay design. The golf course opened for play in 1940.
The Fairmount Park owns this facility which has been altered over the years without architectural input. The course is strictly a public golf course with a strong family orientation as a result of The First Tee of Greater Philadelphia being housed here.
