Feature Friday: Roz Kosacz

Meet Roz (she/her)! Roz is a returning ambassador from New Braunfels, TX, running the Dietz & Watson Philadelphia Half Marathon.

For Roz, running became a way of celebrating every victory after being diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2022. She is returning to Philly this year to celebrate resilience and the community that makes Philadelphia Marathon Weekend so special.

In her own words: "I wanted to celebrate being stronger than cancer by running my first marathon at the 2023 Philadelphia Marathon. Now, four years into my cancer journey, I am still standing and taking on the Philly Half."

Feature Friday: Stephen Crawford

Meet Stephen (he/him)! Stephen is a returning ambassador from Highland Park, NJ, taking on the 2026 Liberty Bell Challenge: Running the TIAA Philadelphia Marathon AND the Dietz & Watson Half Marathon🔥

Stephen has been running 5+ times a week and has a lot of motivation fueling those miles. Since his last race weekend, he enlisted in the Army -- and now he is back with a whole new story to tell.

In his own words: "Since the last time I ran, I've enlisted in the Army and have recreated myself within my new community. I want to be an ambassador to connect the two and share how amazing the city of Philly is and how incredible of a feeling it is to train and complete the marathon."
