My schedule has been packed this summer, so I love leaning on meals that are quick, high-protein, and still feel fresh.
Lately I’ve been keeping Farmer Focus chicken skewers on hand because they make it easy
to throw together meals like this without spending hours in the kitchen.
One thing I love is being able to scan the QR code to meet their family farmers and learn where
my chicken came from!

to be loved is to be known.
I’ve been all over the country already this year; for work, volleyball, and just life. It’s made me realize how many people I have spread all over the world.
People who know me well enough to remind me who I am when I lose my way. People who know the random little things that make me, me. Or people who have known me through different phases of life and loved me the same in every one of them.
A little reminder to myself, and a fun project to share.
Ask the people you love what reminds them of you. Then tell them what reminds you of them.

3 Tips (really 4) on how to write the best college volleyball recruiting email to coaches + university programs.
guys be honest
🚨 IMPORTANT: “5-for-5” has NOT officially passed yet. It is currently an NCAA proposal being discussed that could begin as early as 2026-27.
Traditionally, NCAA athletes had 5 years to play 4 seasons. The proposed “5-for-5” model would allow athletes 5 FULL seasons in 5 years.
As someone who personally benefited from a COVID fifth year, I understand the value of this completely.
My fifth year changed my life.
I was able to grad transfer, earn my master’s degree, continue developing as a player and person, and better prepare for life after volleyball.
There are real positives:
• more development time
• more education opportunities
• more NIL opportunities
• more flexibility after injuries/transfers
BUT there’s another side people are not talking about enough.
At the same time eligibility may expand, Division I women’s volleyball programs are now working under 18-player roster caps.
So if athletes stay longer…
but teams cannot carry more players…
fewer roster spots naturally open for high school recruits each year.
That means recruiting is becoming:
• more competitive
• more strategic
• more unpredictable
This does NOT mean opportunities are gone.
But families need to understand that college athletics is changing FAST — and recruiting is changing with it.
