🥊 Style Spotlight: Muay Mat 🥊

This week at Heavy Hitters we're focusing on the Muay Mat fighting style.

Muay Mat fighters are known for their relentless pressure, powerful boxing, and knockout power. Instead of staying on the outside, they close the distance, cut off the ring, and overwhelm opponents with aggressive combinations.

Some legendary Muay Mat fighters to check out:
🔥 Ramon Dekkers
🔥 Anuwat Kaewsamrit
🔥 Rodtang Jitmuangnon

In class this week we'll be working on applying these concepts with pressure, boxing combinations, and closing the distance while staying technical.

Make it a point to get in and train this week. Every class is another opportunity to improve your skills, build confidence, and become a better martial artist.

See you on the mats! 👊

🥊 This Week's Focus: Fakes & Feints 🥊

The best fighters don't just throw strikes—they create opportunities.

This week we'll be working on fakes and feints, one of the most effective ways to break down an opponent's defense. A well-timed fake can force a reaction, create hesitation, and open up targets that weren't there a moment before.

Whether it's a fake teep to set up a kick, a shoulder feint to open up punches, or a level change to create an angle, learning how to disguise your intentions is a huge part of becoming a more complete Nak Muay.

In class we'll be working on:
✅ Creating openings through misdirection
✅ Reading and exploiting reactions
✅ Setting up strikes with purpose
✅ Improving timing, rhythm, and fight IQ

Don't just throw techniques—learn how to make your opponent react the way you want them to.

See you in class this week! 👊
