Modern is more than movement—it’s storytelling. It’s where technique, emotion, creativity, and vulnerability come together to create authentic artistry. Tonight’s class is designed to challenge our dancers to move with intention while expanding their versatility beyond their comfort zones.

Jordan brings a unique artistic perspective and a passion for helping dancers connect not only with choreography, but with themselves. Through every combination, dancers will be encouraged to take risks, embrace musicality, and discover new ways to express their artistry.

To every dancer who continues to show up ready to learn, thank you. Your commitment, consistency, and willingness to be challenged are what make this intensive so special. We can’t wait to see what tonight brings.

We are beyond excited to officially announce our 2026 Annual SwanNTraining Summer Intensive Instructors!

Each summer, we create an environment where dancers are challenged, inspired, and empowered to grow. Our Summer Intensive is intentionally designed to expose our Swans to diverse teaching styles, fresh artistic perspectives, and purposeful training that strengthens both their technique and confidence.

✨ New for 2026: Each summer, we love finding new ways to elevate our program and create meaningful experiences for our dancers. This year, we’re excited to introduce a Special Guest Artist, welcoming Stephanie Demby-Afum Steph Demby to share her knowledge, artistry, and passion with us all. We can’t wait for our dancers to learn from her during this incredible week of training.

2026 Intensive Lineup:

7/13 – Company Class with Qayla G. (Training Director)
Start the week by strengthening your foundation through company repertoire, performance quality, and the discipline that defines a Black Swan.

7/14 – Modern with Jordan “Jeaux”
Discover movement, storytelling, and creative expression while expanding your versatility as a dancer.

7/15 – Hip Hop with Dajah
Bring the energy as you train in musicality, performance, and confidence through dynamic choreography.

7/16 – Ballet with Stephanie Demby (2026 Special Guest Artist) Refine your technique, artistry, and classical foundation while learning from one of Philadelphia’s respected dance professionals.

7/17 – Jazz with Dominique (Company Captain)
Close out the week with high-energy jazz focused on precision, performance, and the excellence that defines BSDC.

This intensive isn’t just about dance… it’s about growth, discipline, community, and transformation. Join us for a week of inspiration, hard work, and unforgettable memories.

With over 30 years of dedicated teaching and choreographing experience, Stephanie Demby-Afum is a prominent force in the dance community. She currently serves as the Artistic Director of Grace Dance Theater

Our Annual SwanNTraining Summer Intensive is officially here🥳

🚨July 13th–17th, dancers ages 11–16 will spend the week training, growing, and challenging themselves through intensive workshops designed to push them to the next level.

🕕 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

We’re excited to continue developing strong, confident, and well-rounded dancers while creating memories, having fun, and keeping our Swans soaring all summer long.

🌸 SPRING BREAK ANNOUNCEMENT 🌸

BSwan Dance Center will be on Spring Break from March 31st – April 5th.

During this time, the studio will be closed and no classes will be held. Classes will resume on April 7th.

We hope everyone enjoys a safe, restful, and refreshing break, and we look forward to seeing everyone back in the studio ready to finish the season strong. 🖤🦢
