A 1-0 pitcher’s duel, eleven strikeouts, and a taproom full of sweaty runners losing their minds. Baseball is beautiful. ⚾🔥

Last Thursday’s monthly run to came with the perfect main event: the Phils blanking the Reds 1-0 while Luzardo carved up eleven strikeouts in his last start before the All-Star Game. Humble Parlor is one of the best little spots in Fishtown to catch a Phillies game, and watching a nail-biter like that with a cold beer in hand after the miles? Chef’s kiss.

The run itself had drama of its own: a downpour rolled through right before start time. Some ran through it, some skipped the miles, and some came straight for the beers, and that’s the beauty of this club. Drink or not, just run and connect. Massive thanks to Alex for another tap list where you can’t go wrong, and to Maria for keeping the bar rolling and treating us like family. 🍻

Now THAT is how you do a First Tuesday! 🏃🍻 Two run clubs, one finish line, and a whole lot of good done for Philly.

Last night’s First Tuesday out-and-back at turned into a full-on party when our friends from the Passyunk Beer & Java Runners () wrapped their run right here alongside us. Packed patio, ballgame on the TVs, and that easy mid-70s evening felt like a gift after last week’s brutal heat.

It’s Mayor’s Cup season, so both clubs are running for a cause. We threw a 50/50, and here’s the best part: Amy from PB&J won it and immediately donated her winnings right back. Because of her, the two clubs raised $250 together, $125 toward each club’s Mayor’s Cup charity. Ours goes to the Katie Kirlin Fund, supporting youth wheelchair sports here in Philly, and PB&J’s goes to , the city’s animal shelter. Amy, you’re the MVP. 🙌

100 degrees out and this crew STILL showed up to run. Absolute legends, every one of you. 🥵🔥

We battled the heat to last Thursday, and that first cold beer hit different after a run like that. Huge thanks to our leaders and for guiding the pack through a scorcher and keeping the energy sky-high from start to finish.

Once we cooled off, the party was on: World Cup knockouts on every screen (Portugal took down Croatia 2 to 1!), a Quizzo run that earned us a proud second place. Summer with NLRC hits every single time. 🍻

Few crews can say they wrapped a run inside a tavern older than the country. We can. 🏃🍻

Last Thursday we made our way to in Old City, home to ’s tasting room and the oldest surviving tavern in Philadelphia, built way back in 1759. Sipping fresh farmhouse beer under that hand-painted sign, with the crew spilling out onto the patio on a perfect summer night, felt like stepping into a little pocket of history. The saisons, the cask, the cellar pours, all of it hit. What a spot.

Next up: our First Tuesday out-and-back returns to on July 7th, 6:30 PM. Come kick off the month with us!
