Next up in our Coach Trading Card series… meet Coach Claire! 🏐

Claire is from Novato and attends St. Vincent de Paul High School, where she plays volleyball. She has been playing for 7 years, and this season marks her first time coaching with Girls United!

As one of five kids (and the second oldest) Claire is no stranger to being part of a team, supporting others, and bringing plenty of energy to the group. We’re so excited for our players to learn from her experience on the court and to have another strong high school athlete they can look up to throughout the season.

And Claire’s advice to live by? Simple and to the point: “YOLO.”

We’re so happy to have Coach Claire as part of the Girls United volleyball team this year! 💜

Next up in our Coach Trading Card series: Coach Lily! 🏐

Lily is a Petaluma local who attended The Spring Hill School through 8th grade and now goes to Sonoma Academy. Her volleyball experience includes playing club volleyball in 8th grade and being part of the Sonoma Academy volleyball team.

One thing we love about Lily is her willingness to jump in and try new things…She has played 11 different sports! That adventurous spirit shows up in the advice she lives by, too: “YOLO: You Only Live Once,” a reminder to take risks and not sweat the little things.

We’re so excited for our Girls United players to learn from Lily this season not just on the volleyball court, but from the confidence, curiosity, and positive energy she brings with her.

Meet the girls behind the game. 🏐💙

One of our favorite things about Girls United is watching the full-circle moments happen.

Many of the coaches stepping onto the court with our players this fall have been part of Girls United themselves (as campers, athletes, and participants) and are now coming back to lead, encourage, and inspire the next generation.

Over the next few weeks, we’re introducing you to the incredible young women behind our 2026 Volleyball League. And what better way to do it than with their very own trading cards?!

First up: Coach Tessa! 🏐

Tessa’s very first volleyball experience was with Girls United, before she played for Petaluma High School Volleyball, and now she is back with us as a coach!! Talk about a full-circle moment.

We can’t wait for our players to learn from this amazing group of coaches…not only about volleyball, but about confidence, teamwork, leadership, and what it means to support the girls around you.

Collecting great coaches > collecting trading cards. 😉

Volleyball starts THIS SUNDAY!

We cannot wait to welcome our Girls United players back into the gym for six weeks of volleyball, connection, confidence, and fun!

Petaluma High School Gym
Session 1 | Grades 3–5
Check-in: 1:15 PM
Volleyball: 1:30–3:30 PM

Session 2 | Grades 6–8
Check-in: 3:15 PM
Volleyball: 3:30–5:30 PM

We are so excited to get started and can’t wait to see everyone on Sunday! 💙🏐
