One of the weirdest things about eating enough protein is that it can feel like a LOT of food.
Especially if you’re used to under-eating protein.
You might look at your plate and think, “There’s no way I’m supposed to eat all of this.”
But here’s the thing: protein is incredibly filling, and building meals around enough protein can actually make a fat-loss phase more sustainable.
Getting enough protein helps you:
→ maintain muscle while losing fat
→ support muscle growth when training
→ stay fuller between meals
→ make a calorie deficit easier to stick to
So if you’re trying to lose fat and suddenly your meals look bigger because you’re prioritizing protein…That’s not necessarily a problem.
Sometimes eating more of the right things is what makes eating less overall actually work.
You don’t need to eat as little as possible to achieve body composition goals. You need to eat in a way that supports the body you’re trying to build.
