Good luck to Perry high schools Keith Wheeler as he competes this weekend at the High School Nationals in Virginia Beach. Can’t wait to see what he does and I know he’s going to make Perry proud!

We had an outstanding weekend at the GHSA State Wrestling Championship, with six of our wrestlers qualifying for the state tournament.

Congratulations to Thomas Singleton for earning a 4th-place finish at 132 lbs and to Keith Wheeler for placing 5th at 126 lbs.

We also recognize Immanuel Segura, Paxton Gilmer, Gabriel Nazario, and James Cannon for securing multiple victories and finishing among the top 10 in the state.

Season is long and brutal and we are extremely proud of their hard work and dedication. The whole season led to this moment and they definitely do not disappoint.

One last practice as we get ready to see these men compete at the GHSA state tournament! All the blood, sweat, long days, and grueling practice led them to this moment!!!! Good luck guys!

What an unbelievable weekend at the sectional wrestling tournament! Our wrestlers brought nonstop intensity, grit, and heart to every match, and we could not be more proud of the way they competed. Seven of our athletes punched their tickets to the state tournament, and the job isn’t finished yet. We’re fired up for what’s next and can’t wait to watch them take on the best! Help us wish Immanuel Segura, Matthew Kohlman, Keith Wheeler, Thomas Singleton, Paxton Gilmer, James Cannon, and Gabriel Nazario as they represent Perry high school this week at the state tournament. 

Shout out to Keith Wheeler as he decided to continue his academic and wrestling career at Truett McConnell University. Such an amazing kid to be around. We know that he will do great things on and off the mat. Wish him and the rest of the wrestling team good luck as they compete at the sectional tournament this Saturday!!!!

Our girls traveled to Houston County and competed in the area tournament that hosted 33 teams. All of our girls performed amazing with everyone getting multiple wins. Very proud of the hard work and dedication they put in this season. Shout out to Eva Marlatt for coming in 1st in her weight class of 120 lbs. Her dominating performance was evident with all of her matches resulting in pins in the first period. Wish her luck as she travels to the Sectional Wrestling tournament this Friday!

Another Region tournament in the books and a lot of great wrestling. Perry is sending 10 wrestlers and 2 alternates to the sectional tournament next week. We also placed 2nd overall as a team. Wish them luck!!!!

We would like to extend another sincere thank you to our wrestling sponsors as the dual season comes to a close for the Perry Panthers. Our team finished the season placing 3rd in the region, earning victories over Warner Robins (72–12) and Benedictine (43–31), and tying Wayne County (41–41), with the match ultimately being decided by the ninth tie-breaking criteria.

Thank you everyone who contributed to making this dual season a success finishing with a record of 18-6. We now turn our focus to the individual postseason as we prepare for the area tournament in two weeks.

Another tournament in the books. Thank you to everyone who stepped up to help make this years Perry Invitational a success. Perry came in 1st Friday for the Duals and finished 2nd in the Traditional tournament on Saturday. We had multiple panthers bring home some medals. Also, our girls got in on the action with several girls going 3-0 and 2-1. Also pictured is Gabriel Nazario and Matthew Kohlma recieving their 100 win banners. What a testament to their hard work and dedication.

Great job to the wrestling team this past week at King of the County.  Placed fourth overall with multiple athletes finishing in the gold bracket. Getting ready for a busy week with County Championship on Tuesday and the Perry Invitational this Friday and Saturday.
