HAVE YOU VOTED?

We’re balancing all the things over here as we work to keep Silver Lining Riding in the Top 10 for the Local Arizona Grant!

There are only a few days left, and every single vote matters. One vote per email address means your vote—and the votes of a few of your favorite people—can make a real difference.

If you’ve already voted, THANK YOU. Now send this to a friend, a coworker, your mom, your neighbor… anyone with an email address who believes in what happens here. 🤍

These funds could help us continue creating moments just like this one—where learning, independence, confidence, connection, and maybe a little balancing all happen on horseback.

Help us stay in the Top 10. Vote today, then share!

Communication looks different for everyone.

We’ve always admired the beautiful way Joni and Friends supports individuals with disabilities, including the use of visual communication tools. Inspired by that, we created a barn version of a communication board for some of our nonspeaking friends at Silver Lining Riding.

Grooming. Leadline. Trail walks. Obstacles. Barn chores. Donkeys. All the familiar pieces of a day at the barn, now with a visual way to see what’s coming, make choices, and participate in their own schedule.

Because having a voice doesn’t always mean using words.

We’re excited to begin using these with our participants and to keep finding ways to make the barn a place where every person has a way to be heard, understood, and included. 💙 Thank you Joni and Friends for the wonderful resources Kerri Jeter

Sometimes retirement doesn’t mean a horse’s work is finished. It simply means their job begins to look a little different.

They may no longer carry the weight of a rider on their back, but they can still carry something just as important—the first nervous touch, the child learning that something so big can be gentle, the moment fear turns into curiosity, and curiosity turns into trust.

For some of our horses, this season is less about where their feet can take a rider and more about what their presence can teach them.

Because a horse doesn’t have to be ridden to change a life. 💙

New friends. New ride year. So many lessons still to be learned.

Some lessons happen in the saddle. Others happen while waiting your turn, trusting your team, trying something that feels hard, or cheering on the rider beside you.

A new ride year means new partnerships, new challenges, new friendships, and plenty of opportunities to grow.

We can’t wait to see what this year teaches us. 💙🐴

And while we’re celebrating a new ride year, there’s still time to cast your vote for Silver Lining Riding! One vote per person — so if this barn, these riders, these horses, or this community mean something to you, we’d love to have your vote. 💙

Even better, share it with a friend who might love what happens here, too. Every vote is another little way to cheer on our riders and the year ahead. 🐴

We know we keep asking you to vote… but this one is worth sharing. 🤍

If you’re a volunteer, a family, or someone who has simply followed Silver Lining Riding for a long time, you’ve seen the impact that happens here.

You’ve watched riders try something they weren’t sure they could do.

You’ve seen volunteers become part of something bigger than themselves.

You’ve watched our horses meet people exactly where they are.

And you’ve seen a little barn in the West Valley become a pretty special place for a whole lot of people.

So today, we’re asking for more than your vote — share Silver Lining with your favorite people and tell them about one of your favorite places.

Send them the voting link. Share this post. Tell them why you love SLR and ask them to cast a vote, too.

Every share introduces someone new to our mission. Every vote helps us get a little closer.

There’s something special about a first day. 🤍

For some of our riders, this week meant a first day at SLR — a new horse, new people, new skills, and maybe even a few butterflies.

We’re thankful for the reminder that we all get opportunities to try something new, to be brave enough to be a beginner, and to discover what we’re capable of.

Because the things learned here — confidence, communication, patience, trust, and courage — have a way of staying with us long after we leave the barn. 🐴

When that thumbs-up turns gray again… SMASH IT.
Indy has been briefed on the situation and, as you can see, is handling the pressure of this campaign extremely well. 😂
So if it's been 24 hours since your last vote, GO GO GO.
If it hasn't?
We'll see you when your 24 hours are up. 😎
Vote. Share. Recruit a friend.

Okay… 195 votes!! 👀

But I know there are more of you out there who said, “I’ll do it later.”

Hi. It’s later. 😂

Before you put your phone down tonight, take 30 seconds and vote for Silver Lining Riding.

I am apparently WAY too competitive to quietly go to bed without asking one more time. 😂

Vote. Send it to one friend. Then you have officially done your good deed for the night.

Let’s see how far past 195 we can get before morning.

THIS is why.
Sometimes the biggest moments at Silver Lining don't look very big from the outside.
A rider remembers the pattern.
Gives the cue on their own.
Makes a decision without looking to their instructor first.
Sits a little taller.
Tries something that felt impossible a few weeks ago.
At Silver Lining Riding, the goal isn't simply to teach someone how to ride a horse.
It's creating a place where riders can practice independence, communication, problem solving, confidence and trust — with a horse beside them and a team cheering them on.
And then we get to watch those skills follow them beyond the arena.
That's what you're voting for.
Not a contest. Not a popularity number on a website.
You're helping give us the opportunity to bring significant funding back to Silver Lining so we can keep creating more moments like this one.
And the best part? Helping us costs you nothing but about a minute of your day.
Vote today. Come back tomorrow. And if you really want to help us make some noise, send the link to someone who doesn't know SLR yet.
